Great Stay
Excellent stay, we went for my partner's 30th birthday and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The Hotel is located just around the train station and the views are stunning, in particular from the Bar and Breakfast room/Restaurant. The room was exceptionally clean and there was some complimentary drinks. The only downside was that it was a tad on the smaller side. It didn't matter to us but may be an issue if there is a rainy day. As with the main hotel staff the people working in the SPA were friendly and forthcoming. Towels and a bathrobe were provided. Overall a pleasurable afternoon. I would recommend this hotel and will probably be back at some point.

Hotel has potential though staff is unable
We stayed for the bank holiday weekend in St Ives. The good * The hotel was clean and bed was comfortable * The breakfast was nice with some good variety * Nice views from the terrace over St Ives & the coast The bad * The room was tiny, i.e. there wasn't enough space to open a bag and open the room door at the same time. * Parking is a mess at the hotel: The hotel claims to have valet parking. When coming to the hotel all drop off spots were blocked with cars parking there. Hotel staff (the valet person was apparently away running some errands) was fully aware of this and was just mentioning that we could have just blocked the entrance to an unmarked parking garage on the other side of the street. * Apparently they get a food/drinks delivery at at 4:30am and trash is being picked up at 5:15am which I found out on the Bank holiday Monday morning from the noise level (banging metal kegs, squeaky hand truck, glass bottles). I am a pretty deep sleeper typically. * On check-out the hotel double-charged us (This was reversed after I complained) Similar to the parking situation, the staff claimed this had nothing to do with the hotel (apparently it was Expedia's / hotel.com fault). * We left with nobody asking how our stay was until we were packing up our car. The hotel manager was filling in for the valet person and wanted to discuss our experience while we were loading up the car. We asked him to email us which he did not do. I would avoid this hotel in the future.

If you want to enjoy your stay fully, book for example your massage in advance (a week before at least). Otherwise, they will tell you they are full. Be careful when you book 'a seaside view'. There are different types of rooms and some of them have got just a small window so you have not got your 'view' you are actually paying for (only if you are standing you can see a sea). The swimming pool is small and suitable for children, it is an old Victorian building with low water pressure and bad Wifi connection (but this is not what you are coming for to St. Ives anyway).

Great stay!
The St Ives Harbour Hotel is beautiful. Parking isn't available until check-in (3pm), however a short walk along the road you will find the train station. It's not cheap, but there are plenty of spaces. The reception team are very friendly - they allowed us access to the spa whilst we waited for our room to be ready. We booked a sea view room - definitely recommend! Stunning views across the bay. We also had a small balcony. Breakfast is delicious - with lots of choice. The pool & spa area is great, again offering fantastic views. If you'd like a treatment, be sure to be book beforehand, we made the mistake not to book & they were full when we arrived. Highly recommened. We will book again next year.
