Pretty good
Disappointing not to be all placed on the same floor given we booked about 5 months ago!! But elsewise good. Close to JR station, 7/11 and plenty of restaurants about. Clean hostel but minimal space for luggage.

Nice affordable hostel near the city centre
I had a great stay at East57. I had an individual bed in a common room, the bed was comfortable and I had enough space for my luggage. The hostel is clean and the showers work perfectly with nice warm water. The staff is friendly and the breakfast changed every day which was nice. The location is good, just 3 mins walk to Asakusabashi station that is JR in case you've got a JRPass and from there you can get to Shinjuki or Shibuya in 30 mins or less. I am staying again once I am back to Tokyo after my trip to west Japan.

Clean, but a bit small
The room was a bit small but very clean and pretty quiet. This hostel os also really close to the Asakusabashi train station so easy to get around.

Hidden Gem
Very comfortable and convenient hostel though I recommend earplugs if staying in the dormitory.. the locals seem to snore more than you might expect!

What can I say? It's a hostel... good value for my money, clean bathrooms, and private bunks are a plus. Dusty windows, sad breakfast menu and lack of couches are a minus.

Pretty fun place! The manager is the same as EastBlue Kasai, and is super chill!! Would definitely come back again one day. The area is also pretty good!

I wanted them put a seats on the bed at least. Also it was clean overall but there are many fallen hair on the corner and some spaces. So I felt cleaning was not enought.

Clean and convenient location
East 57 has 2 buildings. I guess I was in the newer building because everything looked new and in good shape. The staff walked me through and explained all about the amenities. I liked how they conserved energy with most lights auto off and auto on/off water faucets. There are free slippers, a towel to use during stay. Washer/Dryers are modern commercial type which is very practical. During the stay I saw the staff came to clean tables, floors, and all other common areas many times a day even around 10pm. Bathrooms were always clean and so far no strange odor. The 2 nearest subway stations are very closed, only about 3-4 minutes walk. A lot of affordable restaurants nearby as well including ramen shops and tempura shops which opened super early too.

About the noise...
Place is clean but very small. People walk in and out throughout the day. At night, get ready for the chorus of snores. Early in the morning, lots of sounds and movement. Earplugs provided were cheap foam ( useless). Love the fact that there are ample showers and bathrooms. Laundry available, but pricey. Location is excellent with lots of food options and Asakusabashi station just a one min walk.
