Ruskin Hotel
Ideal location
All the staff were very friendly, from restaurant and bar staff and a lovely General Manager who went out of there way. Couldn’t fault the food and service.

Ruskin Hotel
Nice friendly hotel, good facilities, good food and good value for the money. However, in our 'Standard' room it was hot at night, even with the radiator turned off and light pollution through the door from the corridor. Then came the problem with late night returning revelers. Probably a hen do, as there were a few. Banging doors and noise at 3/4am down the corridor is not conducive with a good night sleep. Had to return home. for that! If I was to return I would try one of the Premier rooms on the front of the hotel. Bigger rooms and away from the bedlam!

Do yourself a favour and spend a bit more !!
Looks good from the outside and the reception area is nice. Then you go upstairs and the carpets are a mismatch, the rooms are cramped together and the decor dire!! The room smelt when we went in, twin beds were right next to each other - might as well have been a double - not good for 2 blokes !! (Some maybe) The walls are paper thin and the doors slam shut, which I woke to in the morning !! Yes it's cheap but do yourself a favour and spend a little more. The ladies on reception were lovely and the shower was decent.

Great hotel friendly staff would Definitely recommend

Better value available elsewhere
The room was very dated, wallpaper peeling off the wall, the bathroom door had a hole in it. Staff were welcoming and helpful though
