Ruskin Hotel
Stayed for 2nights, rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. Everything fresh. Entertainment in hotel was varied. Great value for money. Would definitely return.

Location was good, breakfast and service was to a good standard. Rooms were a little dated and way too hot even with a fan provided.

For older clientele
We stayed for the weekend of the red arrows show. We stayed in room 316. It was at the side of the hotel which looked out onto the new building of the hotel. It was very noisy on Monday morning with the builders machinery and a very loud radio. The check in was quick. Your in room 316 sign the forms please. No information regarding breakfast / dinner / entertainment. The older man on reception needs some training. No people skills at all. We ate in the dining room and was told to pay upstairs. When we got upstairs he asked why we hadn’t paid downstairs ! We explained they told us to pay at reception. He replied “well this needs sorting ! I will be having words with them!” Which left me a little uncomfortable. A dear old lady then asked about the time the bingo started. To which he replied “it’s on the board!” Would it have been too hard to just say the time? The entertainment in this hotel is aimed at the older generation. The lift is very slow. Maybe the hotel should invest in upgrading the lift first instead of installing a spa etc. The hotel is in a good proximity for shopping, restaurants and bars.

great location but a little dated
the location was very good but the hotel is a little dated and going through a refurbishment. The room was clean but a little tired and staff were attentive, ok for a one night / two night stay.

Blackpool v Coventry.
Hotel is fine. Good position. Easy walking to Central and South piers, station, Tower. Room was warm but I don't feel the cold. Fan provided. We went room only. Breakfast is £7.50. Went to Wetherspoons. Car parking £10 a night. Bar lounge and downstairs bar. Some beers £2.50 a pint. If you're not driving it's an ok place.
