We chose to upgrade at an additional 90 cost. The original room we were allocated was really small and quite grubby.

the room was out dated. You can easily hear the noise from next rooms. Staff was very friendly but key card system seemed not stable as I had to go down to reception few times in order to access to my room.

Iluminations time
Restaurant and bar areas very good, and staff very helpful and friendly. Location is great close to Tower, and North and Central piers. Food at breakfast and evening meal very good, and great service staff in the restaurant. Only downsides were the small rickety lift, which had long waits. Bathroom in our bedroom was a but dated and small.

Lovely Hotel
Our stay here was absolutely amazing. Room was a good size. We had breakfast everyday and it was always hot when it arrived at the table. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Definitely will be staying here again. Top marks. The entertainment at yhe hotel was really good with a touch of bingo in between acts. Social distancing down to a tee in the hotel. With the pandemic we had to make our own bed but fresh towels were delivered everyday. Tea and coffee in the room with a kettle.

Poor 2.0
Waited half an hour for our room so went down to the beach in the very hot weather with all of our stuff then came back to be told 20 minutes by a different women who clearly didn't even know that we had been told a time beforehand. Over 10 groups were also waiting for rooms. We did not mind as much until we finally got a key for our room which was over 1 hour 30 mins in the end, to find out our room wasn't even clean!!!! Hair on the bathroom floor still and mess on the floor by the bed. We really didn't understand why we had waited for our room to be cleaned when it wasn't even clean. We were also told to wait in the bar where we was served once and waited for a menu for 15 minutes whilst people Continued to get served before us that had come in after us and really felt like moving hotels but the fact we couldn't was like a feeling of having to just put up for this place and our holiday hadn't even started. I would certainly not recommend this hotel, and for the price of it you don't get what you expect at all.
