Great boutique hotel
Great boutique hotel in a convenient area. 10 min walk to les Halles train station from airport, close to shopping and museums. Basic rooms are small but that was ok for us as we were not spending much time in room. I would say upgrade to larger room category if you want space & larger bed. Rooms were quite facing back of hotel. Rooms facing street may be noisy if your room is located on 1st floor. Boutique hotels are never about service but staff here was friendly and nice. Some seem to have strong hospitality training making effort to go above and beyond others are basic but all were polite and nice. Linens were soft, big bath towels! Pillows, they are very basic not fluffy, the synthetic fill makes them flat. Our check in person was very strict with check in time, we arrived at 11:30 and told us to come back at 3 for our room but they stored our bags. Policy is understandable, it just felt unwelcoming, I would understand more if you wanted to check in at 5am but if the room is available and guests have traveled long haul & only a couple of hours before check in, just let them into room.

Two Nights with Drawing Hotel
We stayed two nights with Drawing Hotel in early June. On the positive side, the hotel is located five minutes from Musee du LOuvre. Most of the key attractions are within walking distance such as Notre Dame, Latin Area, Musee d'Orsay, Grand Palais etc. Good to try night photo taking for Musee du Louvre. The hotel is very new and the service is ok. The problem is also because of its newness. First of all, for visitor who is sensitive to traffic noise, you might prefer to have rooms facing the backyard. No view is better than no sleep. We requested a change for the second night and the front desk is kind enough to arrange for the second night. Second, room 12 has significant design problem. The most dangerous thing being that ten balcony is one step down and one will fell easily particularly after a long trip back to the hotel. Indeed my wife fell into the balcony and get her hip badly hurt. I had briefly reported the incident to the front desk. The grass wall of the shower room is another design problem. Very inconvenient. And might be embarrassing. Thirdly, two out of three sockets are not working. These are issues which we would recommend the management to take note with.

Perfect hotel when attending Paris Photo
I picked the Drawing Hotel based on where it was in relation to the various fairs I was attending during Paris Photo. Everything is walkable from the hotel. Ordinarily I stay on the Left Bank but thought this place looked cute so decided to give it a try and certainly glad I did. It was quiet, quaint and cozy all while being in the heart of everything. Tons of great restaurants nearby, the Louvre is in spitting distance as is the Metro. Room was very comfortable and loved how each floor was designed by a different artist. And the staff were so knowledgable and helpful. I needed to see a doctor as soon as I arrived and they booked me into someone to see within the hour. Also gave great restaurant recommendations and were so pleasant too. I plan on returning to this hotel next year for Paris Photo again!

disappointing
Our stay was awful , although I had reserved a delux room, it was on the first floor facing the back , it was so dark as the windows faced a very close wall , we had to put the lights on during the day time. The bathroom had no door but had a thick grey curtain as a separation! The mini closet as well had a curtain. Unfortunately I was mislead by the good reviews I read and could not believe what I saw , even the corridors leading to the rooms were a nightmare supposedly designed by an artist . I told the manager that my room should be half price her answer was that it’s one of the best rooms ! We payed more than 2000$ for 5 days no breakfast . This is the first time I have stayed in such a hotel through hotels.com and I’m a gold member !

Fantastic location - small and excellent hotel
This is a brand new hotel, I believe. I only stayed for 1 night for work but needed to be near the offices where I was working. My room was a perfectly good size and the bed was huge and super-comfy. The bathroom facilities were great (it took me several attempts to work out the shower) and breakfast was varied and plentiful. The area is very eclectic and full of life (room was quiet) and is a 5-10 min walk to the stunning Louvre, Tuilerie gardens, Royal Palace... the Rue St Honore... the list goes on. Staff were very friendly and helpful - I had a long meeting the following morning with a colleague and we actually sat in the lobby / breakfast area and that was fine too. Overall I would definitely return.
