This is the 3rd time we have stayed at The Candlelight Inn while traveling too and from St Louis to Austin. The hotel is older but clean and the staff is awesome. They are always welcoming and accommodating when we have our fur baby with us. The location can't be beat right off Hwy 69. Plenty of parking, comfy bed. :)

10/10 Exceptional

We were traveling back from Iowa to Texas and wanted to take a break in the drive. I was looking for a good spot to stop that wasn't too expensive and Candlelight Inn was perfect for what we needed. The room was clean, the A/C kept the room cool, the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet. Other reviews mentioned highway noise but I didn't hear that at all and I am pretty sensitive to noise at night; however, I did sleep on the side with the pond which is away from the road. I didnt interact with the staff very much but they seemed friendly from the few interactions I did have with them. I also didn't try the breakfast, so I can't comment on that. Based on my experience, if you are looking for a comfortable stay with a fair price, you can't beat Candlelight Inn.

This is a wonderful place with a great price! I have stayed here many times on a trip I take a few times a year, and it's always nice, and the staff is always kind and good at what they do. And the view of the pond is nice.
