Firstly the photos did not show the true image of the hotel. Secondly, my wife and I are both in our late seventies. Being accommodated in room 51 was no joke. 60 stairs! Overall it was a tired hotel, clean and good breakfasts. It suited our purpose but with the threat of room 51 we would not book again.

Dated hotel
Hotel is in desperate need of an update! Decorating and furniture is TIREDand the floors are creaky! We were woken up on sunday morning at 6.30 am when the people in the room next to us were coughing and spluttering and then showered, not a problem if the bathroom wasnt directly behind our headboard!! It literally sounded like we were in the same room! Although our bed was comfortable we hardly slept. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly, the hotel just needs a lot of TLC.

A good stay
I had a room in the annex and after staying at this hotel numerous times before, this was one of the better rooms. Updated bathroom, although the rest of the hotel is very dated. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and the man on the check in desk was very helpful and pleasant.
