Excellent small hotel
Very convenient for travel into Peebles, the service is excellent with owners and staff very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are good size, breakfast is excellent. Have now stayed here 3 times and will continue to use on future visits.

Closing Down?
On the day of our arrival we received a text to say that there was no bar, reception or restaurant. We were admitted and shown the guest entrance: a fire escape door at the back of the hotel accessed by a car park, which was unlit. Although the staff/proprietors were very friendly and helpful, the room was absolutely fine and the breakfast was good, the overall impression was that this lack of facilities was not a one-off issue but a hotel perhaps in its death throes. The hotels.com website should certainly mention that there is no bar, restaurant or reception if this problem continues.

Friendly, welcoming hotel
Very friendly, welcoming stay at Corner house hotel. Our bikes were locked in a shed. It was a night they weren’t doing there own meals so the owner phoned another pub/hotel to book us in.

Damp and damaged ceiling in the bathroom,bed sqeaked, with radiator off still to hot, noisey with window open and after eating in the restaurant I ended up ill during the night which ruined my weekend
