Great space that almost cost us to miss our flight
We stayed at Palazzo Capponi on the ground floor apartment in May for four nights a large and comfortable area with high ceilings, nice ambiance at a reasonable price. The Palazzo is situated on a quiet street within easy walking distance of just about everything you might want to see in Florence. We did, however, have one problem, even after asking two days in a row about ordering a taxi for our departure to the airport and being told both times it would be no problem just come to the desk and they would have one there in five minutes. When we got to the desk on the day we were to leave no one was there we waited for 20 minutes still no one showed. We called the number we were given to contact the management by hotels.com but no answer. We left and tried to flag down a cab but to no avail, we finally found another hotel and asked if they could call us a cab. Thankfully our cab driver understanding our late departure for the airport drove as fast as he could allowing us to make our flight with just minutes to spare.

Good 6.0
A palazzo setting with a few downsides.
We stayed four nights in a large ground floor apartment in a beautiful palazzo in the perfect location in Florence - a few minutes from Ponte Vecchio and across from the Uffizi Gallery. And it was not too expensive. The apartment had truly beautiful high ceilings and many original features along with some less charming updates. There were some negatives. The rooms were rather dark. The freezer didn’t work, and wasn’t very clean. The drains in one of the two bathrooms were smelly so we didn’t use it. The bedroom windows are beautiful palazzo windows that are beside the sidewalk and the road but the shutters don’t close fully. Service was friendly and attentive. All in all it was good value. The pros outweighed the cons. If you want to experience a palazzo but don’t want to pay several hundred euros a night, this is the place.

Amazing spot!
This was an amazing place to stay! It was clean and comfortable. The ceilings were amazing. It was just a quick walk across the ponte vecchio to get to all the major sites. The best gelato we had in Italy was right down the street! I would definitely stay here again!
