Lovely spot, very convenient for the centre of town. Very helpful owner. Comfortable bed. breakfast was superb, my only gripe was that the shower was either boiling hot or freezing cold. It seemed to change temperature dramatically mid shower. Besides that I would highly recommend. Maybe it’s my and my wife’s own ineptitude but neither of us understood the shower.

Christine was very friendly and made sure we had a great stay. She cooks an amazing English breakfast as that we enjoyed before our trip out of town. The room was very comfortable and has everything you need. There’s lots of great places to eat and a grocery store very close by as well. We fully recommend staying here!

Cosy, comfortable and convenient...

We spent two nights at Ty Helyg and found it very cosy and comfortable. Nicely furnished even to the extent of having quite dark curtains AND a black out blind which in itself, rates highly for me. Very conveniently situated for Brecon town and local area. Free wifi with good reception in our room. Christine and John are a lovely couple, very friendly and helpful couple. We would definitely recommend this B&B.

Brecon

Arrived in Brecon and the Ty Helyg was easy to find free parking oposite. It is also only a few minutes walk to the High Street where there are lovely little shops and eating places. The guest house is very pleasant, tasefully decorated with lovely white quilt covers and bed linen. Host Christine and Robin were very welcoming and helpful. Great breakfasts. I will certainly stay there again.
