Great stay, recommended!
Great room, perfect for travelling with our young daughter (crib provided, too!). Was a bit difficult getting the stroller in and out but it wasn't a big deal. You're right in the city here, 5mins walk from shops and sights and bars. Definitely recommend!

What's with the service?
What a strange review this is to write! It's almost all good: the location is great and easily accessible from a couple different shuttle stops; the property is clean, warm and cozy; the pets are great -- open to cuddling and ear scratches but not in your stuff; the bed was comfortable and the wifi was fast. There is tea for breakfast in the morning and a fridge to hold any milk, fruit, etc. that you bring in. The trouble is the service. One of the hosts is good, no issues. The other is probably the grumpiest and surliest host I have ever experienced. Not helpful, not happy to see you, conversations are full of snippy comments. At first I thought it was just me, but other users staying at the same time had very similar experiences, leaving them scratching their heads about what they did wrong. I really want to be able to recommend the Old Bicycle Shop to friends and family who are travelling to Iceland; I am on the fence about whether I can honestly do that. Maybe it was just a bad week?

Good 6.0
Charming house for the solo traveler, expensive.
The host is very friendly and informative, the house is centrally located and very charming. The bed was a single bed and not particularly comfortable and the wooden floors squeak a lot. Shared bathrooms, although clean, not optimal for the price. At a lower price I would have given it a higher rating, but for my expectations, not worth the price of admission.

Friendly and comfortable
Most comfortable bed I had on my trip. Friendly owners and dog Pepper. Very accommodating.
