Excellent hotel very hip, slap bang in the centre of things on Essex st. All you need is within walking distance or on door step. Would stay again for sure

Amazing room lacking amenities
The hotel room was sparse but beautiful with a very comfortable bed. It has has a restaurant below and above and that seemed to be where all the staffs energy went. ( I had to ask for ice and another pillow multiple times) The coffee was located in the hallway not in the rooms. It was terribly burnt and they only offered paper cups to drink from. One morning they had a decaf and caffeinated but the next only caffeinated. I would have been happy to buy my own coffee and use my travel french press but there wasn’t a place to get hot water. ( so no tea making availability either) In order to call the front desk you had to use your own cell phone and dial the main number ( this was not written anywhere in the room) and is a problem if you only have a UK phone. There was an ironing board but no iron. Lacking were places to hang your towels after you used them and no sign advising what to do if you wanted to reused your same towels. According to their website wine glasses and a cork screw would be in the room. They were not The hotel has so much potential If they just ironed out a few things.

Enjoyable Hotel
Really enjoyed this hotel. We went to the roof later in the evening and they said they wouldn’t be able to seat us - and after stating we were staying in the hotel she kindly put us on the wait list. Odd for hotel guests not to have a priority - or to be told to make a reservation. But it was very nice experience definitely recommend checking it out. Room was cute - great view of City Hall. Wish there were a few more hooks for jackets, etc. Was quite startling when they started street cleaning very loudly around 8:30 am though ... The hotel is super central to most main attractions.

Good 6.0
The Hotel was cute and upscale looking and the furnishings were very stylish. It was mostly clean, with the exception of some hairs in the bed- which is not great. The bathroom door within the room did not provide a lot of privacy as it was a barn style door that was not flush with the wall. The TVs in the room didn’t work, claiming a current overhaul of system- this would have been nice to know prior to our stay. Overall it was an ok stay but far too expensive given the decreased amenities, both COVID and not COVID related. I would probably not book there again.

Cool hotel!!!
Such a cool hotel! Old building completely updated with mid century modern touches. Wish the hotel had been upfront about closure of rooftop patio and restaurant. Most shops nearby only open seasonally so wasn’t much for us to do. Parking is a bit of a hassle but the service was amazing and really large rooms made it worth it.
