make sure they dont overbook
booked the hotel 2 month in advance. lousy service, no information on check-in limitations. they have change my location at last minute, without any option to talk to someone. due to late check-in, I was left with no room, needed to search for another hotel at midnight with full family (5 people) on a pick summer time.

Fantastic location, beautiful city.
Great option rather than a hotel room. the apartment could not be better located although that comes with a bit of noise especially at the weekend. Very modern apartment in a very old area, needs some small further bits and pieces like knives for cutting, ledge for the shower etc. Getting in is moderately complicated and I'd advise to email in advance to confirm the time you are going to arrive. Padova itself is almost impossible to beat; not that many tourists, incredibly friendly locals, easy to get around, astonishing art and architecture, and great food.

A casa a Padova
Tutto sommato, mi è piaciuto molto e ci tornerei volentieri.

"At Home in Padova"
I stayed in apartment 1 of Via Sant'Andrea 20 (& for 1 night in apartment 2) for a week. The flat was immaculately clean, very comfortable, and in a great location. It instantly felt like home to me! For a single traveller or a couple, this is a great flat. It's up 2 flights of steps (not a problem for me, but possibly one for some), and looks out onto the streets below (it's on the corner of the building, above a couple of shops), and it was lovely to be able to watch people go past, hear the noises & occasionally music from the piazza del Frutti (not bothersome; I found it atmospheric), and feel like part of things. It's very close to a market (on the piazza) and to a supermarket (Panorama), and wasn't a bad walk from the station and around various parts of town. I was there for a conference at the university, and found I was easily able to work, etc (the wifi was great). My only complaint is that I got the impression from the description that there was a washing machine as well as a dishwasher, when there wasn't a washing machine. Fortunately, I had enough close to manage without one. Also, there were no sharp knives in the kitchen (chopping onion with a table knife was challenging), so I had to buy one. All in all, however, I loved it and would happily stay there again.
