    Not good

I will start with a positive, the staff were lovely and the bed was really comfy, however externally there was no signs to say where to go to check in just a sign on the bar side. I was checked in by the bar maid and told where my room was but no other information didnt know how to check out in the morning and no one around to ask so left my room card on the bar/reception. The tv doesnt work if there is a cloud in the sky and the internet does not reach the rooms in the annex. The bedding was clean and the floor hoovered but the lamp was really dusty and the bathroom was clean but not fantastically clean as you would expect in a hotel. The room and especially the bathroom was tiny, if you have wide shoulders you will not fit in the shower. The walls were paper thin and i could hear the next rooms conversation clearly. A room that was occupied on the ground floor had a hole in the window with a piece of cardboard taped on it, the windows are single glazed and the locals stay in the beer garden right across from the annex till past midnight. Also i put the heating on but it didnt pump out any heat, fortunately I was in a twin room on my own so I had 2 quilts to keep warm. I will mot be staying again, this could be a lovely place to stay in a lovely village if they just thought about the hotel guests comfort a little more, it feels like a pub that has thrown some rooms together.

    Room above a traditional pub.

Good rooms. Character building , a traditional pub. V friendly service. Somewhat noisy into the night due to it being a pub. Can’t complain for the price.

Two sides of the business that clash, pub/function room with unbearably loud DJ and rooms upstairs. They need to decide which part of the business to focus on. The bathroom was updated BUT finishes were of low standard & DIY. Hotel sent independent confirmation but did not inform me of DJ Friday night OR the fact they had no kitchen in operation. DJ stopped at 12 midnight but revellers used car stereo to continue party in street & did not disperse until 1.30 am. Was due to stay 2 nights, I made other arrangements for the 2nd night. Stay elsewhere & save yourself the hassle is my advice.

Beautiful furniture in room. However, I booked not realizing that there was no food served at all. So had to take a trip to local supermarket to buy porridge that could be made the next morning with hot water and disposable spoon. No fridge in room. Would have been good to have a bin in the bedroom. View of tv was blocked by four poster bed. bathroom had no heating, no pegs or shelves to hang stuff To check-in, you basically have to wait at bar of pub which is downstairs, no WiFi information in room, so needed to queue up at bar of pub again to get wifi password.

    Truly awful

Good points, convenient for motorway, off road parking and in a pleasant village. Downhill from here on. On arrival reception is in the bar area and it was a good 5 minutes before anyone showed up to book me in. the room was tiny, freezing cold with a all but useless radiator the corner. The surfaces were clean but the carpet had stains all over it. Bathroom was clean but equally freezing cold. Shower cubicle is so small you can't move your arms to wash yourself. Really annoying is things like the bedside light not working meaning I had to read with the main light on and get out of bed to turn the light off and freeze again. Walls are paper thin and I could hear my neighbour's TV and their every movement. Single glazed windows meant all car park noise at closing time, shouting, revving engines, music at full blast flooded into the room unabated. I wish I had read the reviews before booking this place. Final bad point is no food / breakfast available. Definitely won't be returning.

    Too loud

Music played in the bar was too loud, rattled bathroom fittings and went on at a ridiculously high level until 12 midnight, this was reduced to a slightly lower level until 01:00 when it was finally switched off !! Would not stay here again.

    Fantastic Staff

I arrived at The Coach Hotel at the end of a very long and tiring day, soaking wet and covered in mud. I don't think I have ever been made to feel more welcomed or looked after. Despite my own befuddled booking errors, the staff went above and beyond and sorting out the problems, with particular thanks to Janine. The room was lovely and very comfortable. I will definitely make this my place to stay in Coleshill from now on.

Our room was clean and comfortable but to say compact was an understatement. The shower was tiny and the rest of the bathroom of the same scale. The staff were great, very polite, friendly and extremely helpful. Had it been a larger room our stay would have been excellent.
