    Superb location in NYC.

    Superb location. Accessible to so many subway lines. The closest being across the street from the hotel. Excellent service. We arrived early and needed to send our rental back to JFK, a room was made available 10 minutes later which was a life saver.

    The check in process was simple and quick, the room was clean and large enough for 2 adults and 2 teenagers (have stayed in some small rooms in the US). Location is great for a base in Manhattan - away from the craziness, but quick and easy to get anywhere with plenty of subway stops within walking distance. All staff were friendly and and helpful. We would certainly stay here again.

    A definite stay for those going to FiDi

    I travel to New York for work 4 times a year- and I always return to the Garden Inn. Always clean comfortable and service and front desk are always very helpful. It’s a great location for the Financial District. And 1 minute walk to South Ferry subway station. The bar is well stocked. I have said in the Hilton Doubletree around the corner(which is meant to be better than the Garden Inn- but the doubletree is awful- tired dated and has homeless people staying in it) The Garden Inn is fresh clean and I’ve never had a bad stay. The hotel gym is also excellent.

    Crap stay

    The rooms were filthy and not serviced properly. There was only one decent person on the front desk, the others were rude and obnoxious.

    Newly opened hotel with close access to several subway lines and Staten Island ferry. WiFi access, laundry facilities and refrigerator were extremely useful. Rooms were very nice, light and clean with views of the Hudson and East Rivers. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

    Excellent base for a New York city break. We upgraded the room to include the view of the water which was very nice up on the 23rd floor. Despite being on the South most tip of Manhattan we felt that the hotel was in an excellent location with 2 subway stops right outside the front door (red and yellow lines) which will take you to all the major tourist spots within a matter of minutes. There is also another line on Broad Street (brown line) just a few minutes walk around the corner. Coming in from Newark (EWR) airport is also very handy as the Airtrain from the airport drops you at Penn Station where you switch to the red subway line for no transfers straight to the hotel on the red 1/2 subway line. The location is also very handy if you are planning on visiting the Statue of Liberty with the pickup at Battery Park being just a 5 minute walk around the corner. The 9/11 Memorial and One Tower are also just a 10 minute walk away. We didn't have breakfast included at the hotel as we felt it was a bit expensive at approx twenty dollars pp. Thankfully there is an Essen deli just a 60 second stroll around the corner which has an amazing selection of fresh food, hot and cold breakfast food and sandwiches and coffee/tea for very reasonable prices which worked out about half the price of breakfast in the hotel. The room in the hotel was spotlessly clean and had all the amenities which we required for our stay all included at no extra cost. Excellent hotel. Would return.
