Poor 2.0
Poor Service and Cheating
1) my room type was 1 bedroom including one sofa bed. 2) When I booked this hotel, I chose 2 person instead of 3 person due to my mistake. 3) I, wife, and daughter stayed this hotel for 2 nights. 4) When I checked in, staff told me she provided me with upgrade but I need to pay additional charge for one more person. I agreed to pay total 108 euros (54 euros per night). 5) When I got in the room, we realized that it was not upgraded because that room was a studio type with only one bed. (3 person including 26 aged daughter cannot sleep together on same bed.) 6) I complained right away and manager told me there is no available room that I chose. (staff was cheating on me) 7) Finally manager gave us slightly bigger room including extra bed. 8) I requested manager for changing room type which I booked for second night and manager told me it was possible but we need to bring all of our belongings in the morning(9am) at Lobby. It was unacceptable but again, I don't want to ruin my family trip. 9) We put all of stuffs at Lobby 9am, then went around London. When I came back, another manager told be there is no available room that I booked. 10) I complained a lot saying that I am not going to get the different room type, also I kept standing at the check-in desk even though there are many tourists who stand on line for check-in. 11) Hotel gave me same room type that I booked. * I spent many hours due to this matter and Hotel ruined my family trip.

No vip benefits here . Small executive rooms
On arrival was excited to try vip benefits . But there were none . The check in was quick . The room was smaller than expected for an executive room. It was a basic double . Bathroom shower was nice . All the room have just showers no tubs apparently . The worst thing about this room is the windows 5 feet away from looking directly into other peoples rooms . One time I was on my bed in my pjs and I clocked eyes with a woman in the opposite room . Awkward ! I would probably spend about $150 per night but no more . No breakfast offered or food at all on the Property but you can buy groceries easily just at the bottom of the stairs . There’s also a 24 hour convenience store after 11 pm when sainsburys were closed . If you need to print anything they charge you and you have to go through the front desk and forward emails to them to do it very frustrating . I was charged 36 dollars to print a script . Of about 100 pages ... I didn’t get all of the pages after a 30 min wait I was then late for a meeting . Some people on the front desk couldn’t understand English which caused a few confusing conversations The staff all had a great attitude . The bar staff were awsome . Shame no food in there but they were sad about that for me .

Nice location very stylish hotel/studios.
Reception staff both at check in and next day check out were super nice and great customer service. Unfortunately my late check out was not known by the cleaning staff and twice woke us up before even ordinary check out time at 11:0 am :((. Was also talked too in very bad way and manner as well as we were being asked to leave the lift on 3 rd floor on our way to lobby as one of the guest lifts had got a note at ground floor saying used as staff lift. But nothing displayed of such info on any guest floors. So having being told to get out and wait for another lift as taxi was waiting outside by then felt very unfriendly and not good. It was a staff member with beddings or towels in a trolley. Otherwise very nice and quiet room/studio as nice tasteful design of a kitchen in entrance hallway of the room. Very comfortable bed and clean room and bathroom.

Exceptional 10.0
Less than a block from the Lambeth North Underground Tube Station, Marlin Waterloo was the perfect hub for our trip to London. The hotel itself is very nice and virtually brand new, having opened in May of 2017. The reception area and lobby is spacious and comfortable. Great well-stocked pub/bar. Three elevators serve the 10 floors of guest rooms. Our room was on the 10th floor, very quiet, spacious for a London hotel room, very comfortable King bed, mini-fridge, desk, closet, and modern bath. Thermostatically controlled AC. Friendly staff. Hotel is located on a rather busy, well-lighted street. Lots of pedestrian traffic. Several bus stops. Two neighborhood pubs, an Italian Restaurant, a Pret-a-Manger (like Starbucks but better), and a small grocery store are all within the same block as the hotel. There are more than 50 restaurants within a mile. We always felt safe on the street. At the end of the street is the Lambeth North Underground Station. This is a relatively small Underground Station with service on the Bakerloo Line. Very simple to navigate and master. Heading toward London, the next station is Waterloo (huge with lots of connections and National Rail Service), then Embankment, then Charing Cross, then Piccadilly Circus. Why is this important? London is a huge, very congested city. By using the "tube" to get around, you will save lots of time and money. We could leave our hotel and in 15 minutes be most anywhere in London. Loved this location!

Perfect Location for all the touristy stuff
After a 24 hour flight we arrived at 10am and even though we had mentioned this in our booking it was disappointing that the room still wasn’t ready at 2:45pm. The room was a good size for two people. The bar fridge, with a small freezer section, worked well. The microwave has a heating element as well so it was not straight forward to use. No instructions were available. When we asked for help the person sent also had no idea so it was a matter of pressing random buttons and hoping. There is a small dishwasher but no dish liquid if you want to wash a few things in the sink. Toiletries are a bit random. Some days you get a shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and moisturiser but other days you might get 2 shampoos and no shower gel (or soap). When I rang the front desk at 7am for some soap I was told there was no one to help. They even suggested I go to the nearby Sainsbury’s and buy some! Not what you expect after being out for a morning run. Milk was the same, only being replaced on some days. The bathroom is a good size but poor design means it is impossible to contain the water within the shower recess. Some days the shower did not get hot enough. Another odd design means you have to lower the toilet lid to flush the toilet. Not well thought out. I've hit the character limit here. I will put more detail in a trip advisor review.
