This hotel was fine for an economical one-night stay in the area. Nothing fancy, and shared bathroom facilities (many of which were 'out of order'). The bedroom was fine, although it would have been nice to have a tea kettle in the room. The location was good -- not too far from Edinburgh Airport, and convenient for visiting the sites in Falkirk and Stirling as long as you have a car. The staff was there 24 hrs/day, so could accommodate our very late arrival due to flight schedules. Overall we would definitely use them again if we have a quick overnight or early flight EDI.

6/10 Good

Property was fine if you are not fussy really. Kitchen could do with a good clean and an update. Shower in our room also could have done with an update. It looked grubby but I think was just very old. Staff were lovely and very helpful during our stay. My only complaint. I left a silver chain in my room. I have called twice and emailed via the website but am no further forward in getting it back. Staff have confirmed it was found and I have offered to pay for its return but everyone seems unsure if this can be done! I don’t understand the problem really.

2/10 Poor

Prison-cell chic. Did not feel safe. First thing I did on arrival was to see if Travelodge next door or Premier Inn down the road had any rooms. If they had, I'd have moved out after ten mins. Nearby toilets out of order. Didn't dare use the shower. Sticky carpets and odd smells. Might be related to the weird 'cigarettes' in the carpark. Dreadful. Never using Metro Inns again.

10/10 Exceptional

Brilliant hotel. Our first time being there. We were there for one night for the Ministry of Sound Classical gig. The hotel was super clean. Our room was for 3 people. A double bed with a bunk up top. The bunk bed was really easy to get to even for an adult. The room itself was lovely and clean and the beds were comfy. We all slept well. The room we had, had a sink in it and the toilets were just round the corner. All of the toilets were individual cubicles that were completely private. Each one that we used was spotless clean (it put my own to shame) The staff were excellent from start to finish. Really helpful with directions to our venue (thank you for that) and again when I wanted water out of the vending machine. They also have a smashing coffee and tea machine that gives really good coffee and a huge selection of tea. Something I did not expect. For the money it's definitely a no frills hotel. But honestly I'd definitely stay here again. 5 stars all round. There's also the Chinese Banquet place literally nextdoor for anyone looking for food. It's a win all round.

Staff always available. Really helpful and very kind all of them. Kitchen really good for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The price is really good for all the service. If you know hotel Formule 1 in France, this is exactly one of them, but with people in the reception.

I really enjoyed our 3 night stay. Our room was very clean. Housekeeping came round every day. Shower facilities were very clean. If I was to add anything it would be some outside seating area.

Staff were great and really helpful. You get what you pay for, it is rough around the edges (carpets are terrible and some of the toilets and showers were locked so we were unable to use them). A handy location for the sites.

8/10 Very good

Definitely pet friendly. Bedding was clean and room secure. For the price paid (average less than half the others within a 50 mile radius) you expect a few niggles, but nothing that would stop me staying again. Ideal base for Kelpies, Falkirk Wheel, and train to Edinburgh (in Fringe season). Ideal for a one or two night stopover, which is probably why it is so popular with tradespeople. Very good value for money.
