Very good 8.0
one night stay in April
We love Lymington and were looking for a dog friendly place to stay, well placed for walking into town. We have eaten at the Mayflower but have never stayed. Room was clean, comfortable and had everything you need. Lovely toiletries and fluffy white towels, even earplugs for light sleepers!. Breakfast was amazing! Staff very welcoming. All i would say is that our room was very close to the kitchen and the extractor fan was right outside next to the balcony of our room. It was loud and if you opened the doors and windows the smell of cooking was quite strong.

A little let down
The staff were a credit and very helpful, the room was nice but a little disappointed as we had no dressing table also I could not dry my hair in a mirror as the mirror was to far from the plug socket,we only had 3 tv Chanel’s as the sky was not working and staff were unable to fix the problem, we were also told we would have a table put by for dinner but this also was not available to us when we arrived for dinner.

Exceptional 10.0
A dog friendly gem.
Very well located inn next to the marina. about 6 mins. walk into "central" Lymington ( a lovely town). Very dog friendly!!! Large car park. We had a large, comfy room with a big comfy bed. Nice, modern well decorated bathroom but bath a bit small for a 6 footer and the shower door would be a squeeze for someone of a large build.Proper light needed over bathroom mirror. Lovely, helpful, young staff. Dinner was of a very good gastropub standard -- decent, if slightly eclectic, wine list. Excellent breakfast! WIFI in the room could be better. Would definitely recommend the Mayflower and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else in Lymington.

The only thing wrong with the room needed a mirror for hair drying and small cups for nespresso coffee

Nice pub, Large comfortable rooms, Great service
I spent 3 nights in the Mayflower while working in Lymington It's a very nice traditional pub next to the river, Plenty of parking a large beer garden about 5 minutes walk from the centre of Lymington The room was large, nicely decorated and comfortable, Sky TV, good Wifi, Tea and a Coffee maker, The bathroom had a large walk in shower with plenty of hot water, there was also a free standing bath in the bedroom, everything was very clean The bar is also very comfortable with a good selection of real ale, Food is very good although expensive especially as they add a service charge which I don't think a pub should do Breakfast is served from 7.30, freshly cooked to order and was very nice There was a problem on our last day when the chef didn't arrive as his car broke down. The lady serving Breakfast did everything she could to serve toast and cereals. All in all a nice place to stay
