Clean and basic. Quite noisy as on Main Street but location great

Awaiting a major issue to be resolved.
Hotel staff were excellent. Location Great. However after some rainy weather our 2nd floor hotel room started to flood from the walls. The girl from the reception at the time was fantastic and helped to prevent the flow of water and dry the floor. Some of our clothes and bags were soaked as a result of the flooding which occurred a second time on our final night at 4am which led us to leave the hotel hours early and just head to the airport - it was a major issue. We're still waiting for the director to resolve the issue we had with Hotels.com - hopefully we will hear back soon however the staff on the day were exceptionally helpful - we cannot be more clear!

Couples short break in Barcelona!
Location is great in the gothic quarter and staff were friendly. The room was basic but clean. The lack of air conditioning made staying in the room quite uncomfortable as it was so hot. The ceiling fan didn't really help. Also having only one iron for the whole building was an inconvenience as you have to rely on other guests returning it to reception straight after. Overall the stay was fine and is probably what you'd expect for a cheaper hotel in that area.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable although fairly basic. The staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Just one main suggestion.... a welcome tray with a kettle, cups and saucers (sachets of coffee, tea, sugar and milk) would have been nice.

Great location & very good staff
The location is really convenient to Jaume train station and from there you can get anywhere. Reasonable walking distance around to most famous locations. Rooms are basic, you get what you pay for, quiet an old building. Staff service / support was amazing. I had a loose shower when i checked in and informed the receptionist, they fixed it the next morning. I needed to print a voucher, the receptionist was very helpful and printed it out for me. All the front desk staffs deserve a 5 star.

Perfect for a budget trip
Hotel room was basic but what I paid for! Location was amazing, found myself walking a lot of places. Clean room & friendly reception staff.

Cheap and cheerful
Cheap and cheerful, room was clean and tidy and staff were pleasant and very helpful. Not much storage in the room especially for 3 people. Bathroom could do with updating. Brilliant location with excellent metro links around the city and to the airport

Not recommended
Warning Guests that you bring to the room have to sign in with their passport, a big no no to me. Also late check out of 1,5 hour was 25 euros and a lot of hassle. This hotel is a bit of a rip off

Good choice
Great location, friendly staff, great value for money. I'd definitely recommend it and I'd go back.

Perfect location; could not recommend enough!
The hotel was a great find; the absolute perfect location being right by Gothic Quarter and literally in walking distance of almost everything!! For us, the hotel was perfect. There was a lovely balcony which provided another view of a stereotypical Spanish street. The hotel itself wasn't incredible but is exactly what you would expect from a 1* hotel. Could not recommend this enough!! The staff were also fantastic and were very helpful and able to communicate in both Spanish and English.
