The hotel is very basic. If all you need is a place to sleep at night, it's a good choice. It'll probably be one of the cheapest places you can find. Helpful staff.
Amenities are basic and low quality. Toilet paper was thin. There isn't even a desk/table to eat on in the room. Side table next to my bed was a chair. Which, again, if all you need is a place to sleep, this is the most cost effective place you can find.
Being right inside Chinatown, I had great and quick access to cheap and good food.
About two blocks of walk from many subway lines (4, 5, 6, A, C, E, J, Z). I took the train from JFK straight to Bowery station and walked 15 minutes to the hotel. Very convenient.
Room was clean. Sound insulation was quite poor, I could tell, but fortunately I had good neighbors who did not make too much noise, so sleeping wasn't an issue for me.
They're the only hotel I've been with a decent pillow!
My review may make it sound like I'm criticizing the place, but it was a good choice because I was in NYC to do some business on my own dime, not for leisure. This hotel met my needs. Would stay there again.
