Great place exciting to see the transformation
Lovely stay in beautiful surroundings, room was amazing staff friendly and helpful, restaurant menu was only few choices but as they've only been open 12mths its understandable, what was on offer was tasty and the leisure facilities were excellent, a definate worthwhile visit, will be returning next year to see how the transformation is coming along, but so far an amazing start to what looks like a massive refurb project on their hands.

Hm, could be lovely, currently a bit Fawlty Towers
The hotel is in the middle of nowhere - lovely but not ideal if you wanted to wander to a local pub. It seemed really quiet, a few people in the lodges I think and a few in the hotel, although was reasonably busy at dinner. Room was very spacious, not the most modern décor but very clean. Would have liked some more milk for the tea and coffee, some of our party said they had 10 cartons, we had one tiny one. My partner used the swimming pool and again it all looked pleasant enough although you have to walk through reception to sign in and get given a towel, and robes are not provided in the room so bear that in mind before you set off in your costume looking for the entrance as a friend of ours did. We had drinks in the bar, perfectly fine although the bar man could have been a bit more pleasant. Dinner was err, fun. We were a party of 13, nothing hugely wrong but a lot of the food was over cooked (eg steaks, chicken strips that were 90% breadcrumb), getting things like salt and pepper was a challenge, and the grumpy bar man was in attendance. Breakfast even more amusing as apparently the chef had had an accident so "the staff" were doing the cooking. Arrived at 8am to find no hot food at that point, bread with mould on for the toaster. Luckily we all have a sense of humour, and found most of the little problems to be amusing. Some of the staff are wonderful, it just needs a bit more organisation really. And maybe to be £20 cheaper whilst they get it all sorted!

Not so good for business traveller
It did feel like it was in middle of nowhere. Most importantly there is no phone signal at all but the wifi worked ok The staff were friendly and accomodating. unfortunately breakfst doesn't start until 8.00 which is very late on a work day. However, the staff opened up at 7.30 so that we could have breakfast before setting off.

Lovely way to start 2019 :-)
Lovely hotel fantastic grounds lovely helpful staff. Our room above expectations. Bathroom was amazing. Everything was clean and tidy. Location was lovely, 3 miles from Wadebridge. Great place for dog owners and walkers. Lots of lovely family lodges around the main building. Gym and spa facilities were the best I've seen in any hotel I've been too. the only slight downside was the restaurant breakfast time, which actually wasn't a problem for my husband and I, but a few guests complained about the time it took from ordering to receiving their meal, we just put it down to being out of season and reduced staff. We had lovely fresh hot food made to order. I know there were mumblings of lack of pastries/croissants. There were some when we were having breakfast. The hotel is secluded and a car is needed to get to the main attractions, but nothing is that far away, an well sign posted. We had a great time and will definitely go back :-)

Good, needs to fully open.
Was good, could have done with pre-warning about no drinks at the bar before arrival.

Great place; If you don't want dinner.
Disappointed that a hotel charging £129 a night didn't have a bar and restaurant facility. Ended up having to travel into Wadebridge for dinner which after travelling all day was an inconvenience.

Bit of a ghost town really. Huge clean room, friendly staff if you could find them, huge pool. Breakfast wasn’t included which was a bit rubbish given everyone else offers this
