Great facility, tiny room
The hotel itself was very clean, the staff were friendly and very helpful, and the location was convenient. The size of the room, however, was terrible. I stayed in a “deluxe” king room, and it was a closet. Only enough room on each side of the bed to sidle around, so whenever me and the other guest were in the room, we had nothing to do other than just lie on the bed. In addition to the tiny size of the room, the door of the cabinet that contained the minibar was broken and permanently ajar, the toilet in the bathroom was so oddly tall/elevated from the floor that my feet couldn’t fully touch the ground while sitting on it, and despite the room being on the 6th floor, the street noise in the morning was loud enough to wake one up by around 7am each day. I was really looking forward to visiting Vancouver, but the experience with the in-room amenities pretty much spoiled the trip for myself and the other guest. We checked out a day early just to get home sooner.

Excellent & special
An amazing experience. Easy and convenient check in with updates throughout the day in preparation via sms with optional extras to be arranged for arrival (e.g cheese board in room, some wine etc). What a beautiful modern room (I stayed in a king room), loved the modern furniture with special touches like the tablet instead of a hotel binder, soft lighting and cool heating/cooling ceiling panels, stocked coffee station with glass mini fridge, make-up mirror, underfloor heating etc. The staff were super friendly, caring and attentive, as they would after 1 interaction, remember my floor and would get me an elevator in advance throughout my stay, ask me how my workout was and remembered my room nr and had the fitness card ready to exchange each morning for me. I really liked the fitness centre, great equipment, clean and spacious, and the in-room dining was hotel restaurant was supurb! I will definately book here again for all future Vancouver visits. Simply the best.

Good location but will not return
The hotel is in a nice location but I would not stay here again due to the hotel climate control system. I was extremely cold most of the two nights I stayed. Apparently, the hotel climate control system is "Eco Friendly" which, for me, meant there was no heating in the room for two nights in February. There is an air conditioning controller on the wall but it does not work. You have phone reception for them to adjust it for you. My understanding is that the hotel sets the temperature in every room to 18 or 19 Deg C but give the guest the ability to only adjust it +/- 1.5 Deg. The wall controller displayed my room temperature to be 20 degrees C but my phone showed the room temperature to be 14 Deg C It got so cold in the room, my third call to reception was to request them to send up a heater which was quickly brought up. The staff explained that the hotel had installed an Eco-Friendly Geo-Thermal heating system - which I'm guessing was tapped into an iceberg, not the warm earth. I was of the impression that the staff were not pleased with the heating system either and that I was not the first guest to have issues with it. It is a lovely hotel and the staff were extremely friendly and professional. Unfortunately, it was just too much of an uncomfortable experience for me to consider returning.
