Faulty towers of Harrogate
We decided to have a break in Harrogate and unfortunately ended up picking this shabby hotel with faulty electrics and the couldn’t care management . The Hotel was locked when we arrived and then informed that we are stopping in rooms adjacent to the car park .Entering our room it was stone cold and we had to ask The management to put the heating on . That was just the start of our problems as on returning back from a walk into Harrogate to have a look round we decided to have a hours sleep and when in bed there was a hammering at the door I got out and opened the door the Proprietor was there and said the electrics have gone off and then came into the room and started doing something in the wardrobe as the Electric box was there. He then said he had sorted it and disappeared . My partner then decided to have a shower and was just coming out of the shower and then have a loud bang on the door she opened the door with a towel wrapped round her and the proprietor and his wife were both outside having a Barney with each other they then decided to come in to the room again and said that the electrics gone off his wife then tried to put them back on But couldn’t so he came barging in all this with my partner stop there just in a towel it was disgusting the room was fit for purpose and should never of been that in that day when electrics being faulty I have asked him to pay 50% repayment and all you get of them is contact my solicitor This Hotel is a joke

At least the Fleet won
We spent one night in Harrogate to see the local attractions and York and combine football and catching up with our daughter. The landlord and landlady were friendly enough albeit we were in and out (and didn't pay for breakfast). Attic room felt cramped and it didn't feel like a King Size bed plus was soft. The limited space and light in the en-suite was not really good as there was no room for a proper shower. It may be because of the location but I felt it was too expensive at £95 per room (excluding the breakfast).

A trip to the flower show
We were in one of the outside rooms which were practical and spotless. There was space for our car right outside the front door. Walking distance into town.

Great B&B in a good location
I selected a small single room and indeed it was small - but perfectly formed. It had everything needed and was clean and modern. I didn't take breakfast but it smells nice! There is a guest lounge with drinks on an honesty system. The owners were friendly and relaxed on check-in.
