This is is good hotel in an excellent location, with olde world character & lovely staff. I gave it an average rating due to the bedding - uncomfortable lumpy mattress with a a thick doona in a synthetic doona cover. Not comfortable at all especially in the warm temperatures we experienced. If management invested in comfortable mattress & decent cotton doona cover.

Our Dog was welcomed. Very friendly and approachable staff, our room was as expected clean and exactly what we required as being disabled, on the ground floor and a walk in shower. We had no problems getting there, and being there, staff were excellent and attentive, Especially Gavin GM. Dale HM, and Pete the Executive Chef. Other staff were friendly and helpful too. We had a great stay.

The hotel had the most beautiful views and you could see that they had tried to do some work on the rooms but the public areas needed work and were actually quite dangerous. There is a door that when you open it has an immediate step that we very nearly had an accident with. There was a smashed door . The WiFi password wasn't written in the room so had to go to the desk again for it. The box for your key was broken and the front fell out. The staff seemed very unimpressed or interested in their job. The mattress had springs that dog right into your back. Top tips to the hotel to improve - change the name. - take the restaurant menu and put a Scottish favourites menu in. Italian Scottish fusion doesnt work. - get rid of the powdered eggs from breakfast and go to fresh. - remove this door on floor 2 it's dangerous with the step. - replace mattresses - give the place a deap clean from top to bottom. The location and view gives you a potential gold mine but it needs a lot of world and tlc.

The rooms were okay for a one night stay, however they need refurbishment, as they are dated and some things no longer work. The staff were friendly and served the purpose for us, as it was a last minute booking.

Good people and facilities.

Stayed in room 1 for a business trip. Really nice and helpful staff. It looks like it is slowly being modernised as it is an old building but facilities are good with a great location. Definitely want to return in future for leisure with my partner.

We were desperate for a place to stay for the night , otherwise we would have left after visiting the room The Inn had seen better days The carpet was dirty , the room felt greasy A very large tub sat in the bedroom , with 2 large ice buckets - maybe it was once a honeymoon suite ? The room was advertised for 4 sleepers - it was not. They placed a cot on the floor for our teen son. The best part of the experience was the morning breakfast , nicely serviced by friendly staff and a hearty breakfast

Enjoyable stay at Grey Gull Hotel

The Grey Gull Hotel is an old building and requires much renovation. However our bedroom was large, clean and we enjoyed our one night stay. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. Would certainly return especially at the price it is at present.

Great place for an overnight stay

It is an old hotel which needs a lot of work doing to it. However our bedroom was spacious, had been updated, had everything we needed and was very clean and the B&B price per room was mist reasonable. The breakfasts were very good, and a lovely view of Loch Fyne from the dining room. All the staff we spoke to were very welcoming. Would certainly come back again if looking for accommodation in Ardrishaig.

The bed was uncomfortable: springs could be felt, with slanted (unleveled) to one side, hot water took 16 min. to warm up- never hot, weird whole in ceiling in bathroom. Staff super nice and safe location.

Overall a great stay with a generous breakfast. Please note, the 4th bed in a family room is only suitable for a very small child, not a big 11 year old! Thankfully, the hotel wasn't full and they gave us an additional room free of charge.

Comfy hotel!

Had an overall great stay! Very clean and nice staff. The only thing that’s negative worth mentioning was that it took a very long time to get hot water in the shower and the tub. And after the hot water was running in the tub there was no way to get the cold water running. Except for this, a comfy bed and nice breakfast made this a nice stop along the way.

Room was clean. Restaurant staff was kind and courteous. However, there was no hot water in the room, and the front desk was unattended. After a long travel day, the expected hot shower was not realized.
