Exceptional 10.0
It's super close to the airport, yet in a beautiful part of town (walking distance from the marina area called The Walk that has a little mall, including an ATM and a small supermarket). Also, check in was smooth & easy even though we arrived close to midnight and hadn't pre-arranged for a late check in. As for the rooms, they were clean & well appointed as expected. And, even though I didn't need to use the service, loved that there was a comfort menu for pillows. I also liked that I was able to control the temperature in my room which helped me sleep well in spite of jetlag. Regarding the other amenities, there were so many gorgeous nooks & crannies to discover! I don't think we even saw the full property after staying for 4 nights. The Kitchen was a good breakfast spot, though be aware that it comes at a hefty price! The Indian Boulevard Tea House was a nice little gem that served delicious masala tea and a much less expensive breakfast, if your tastes are more on the adventurous side. The food and drinks were just average at Zale Beach Club, but the ambience on the outdoor patio was top notch. My fav was Amwaj Lounge. The drinks both hot and cold were delicious and the entire area was exquisitely and tastefully decorated. Also loved the super hidden gem of the gift shop to the outside right of the tea house. Abu Ala Al Jaffari had great service & beautiful items! Lastly, the hotel staff was gracious and super helpful with answering questions and addressing all needs.

Sparkly new hotel in new Marina area
On-par with other Kempinski hotels (unlike the one in Amman). Service was A+. Clean and modern with a beautiful pool area and loungers and service on the beach. They bring you towels and a little cooler with bottled water. It's not a private beach, but it might as well be, and you will feel comfortable wearing your bikini. Pools close at sunset. I just wish they had a hot tub. The surrounding Marina area is a very new development with restaurants and some shopping within a 10-15 minute walk, which was great for meals, though it did feel like being in Orange County or Dubai. Close to the airport but about a 20 minute ride from Muscat. We took a tour one day and they charged us an extra 10OMR for pickup. Resort prices at the beach bar, but that's to be expected. Service was great and cocktails were good. Had a fantastic time. Would stay again.

Quiet weekend in Muscat
Beautiful, brand new hotel in a nice community close to the airport (but without noise pollution). During Ramadan we had the hotel more or less for ourselves and the restaurant and beverage facilities were restricted but Kempinski has 3 main restaurants and beach cafe and inside coffee and tee houses so plenty to offer outside Ramadan. The service was very friendly and accomodating. Great, 35-40m long horizon pool in the middle so plenty of room to swim or relax. The beaches are clean and very wide to stroll or run. Water is equally clean. I was particularly impressed by the fitness facilities. Rarely I have seen such modern equipment with sauna and steam bath in a 5-star hotel. all in all a great experience. I would only be careful booking a room with beach view as not all of them have really a beach view

Beautiful hotel to truly relax
The hotel is brand new and it was Ramadan so it was very quiet in the hotel. We had the gym, pool and beach to ourselves a lot of the time. This made it a truly amazing experience. The staff were all brilliant and very attentive. We loved the restaurants and the quality of food was brilliant, especially the breakfast. The decor and marble floors throughout the hotel made if feel very special. We had an amazing view of the sea from our room and we truly enjoyed our stay. Special thanks to Nimit at Soi-Soi, Jamie at front desk and Hussein and Primala from the Amwaj Lounge) who made the best fresh lemon mint juice my wife has ever tasted. Also special thanks to our housekeeping team and the hotel nurse. We definitely did not want the holiday to end :).

From the moment you walk in you feel like in a palace. This hotel is so stylish and the staff was very helpful. The grounds are well maintained and the rooms well appointed with a large choice of amenities. The hotel is calm and very relaxing. The beach is gorgeous but beware before 4pm the sand is HOT so don’t forget your footwear to go for a swim in the sea. We loved the service at the pool were you get complementary ice lollies to cool you down and have a cooler filled with ice to keep your water cold. The food was amazing in all the restaurants and breakfast catered to everyone. The bowling alley was fantastic for our 5 years old and we enjoyed going there before dinner every nights. Oman is absolutely amazing and we can’t wait to be back.
