I feel this needs to be an honest review as people staying will be in the same situation on arrival as we were. The staff are fantastic and helpful. Rooms are clean and tidy. Hotel location is in the centre of the old town so you walk out of the door and you’re in the hun of goings on. And the rooms are quiet in the evening even though you are in the heart of the old town. However, payments in Croatia is general and in this hotel are not as expected. We chose to pay on arrival. They only accept cash or PayPal payment, card paymants are not accepted. This, as all businesses in Croatia prefer so to avoid tax. They are upfront in the reasons but this has impacts on those visiting. We have to pay bank fees, international transaction fees and can end up paying more in the long run. So be aware.

Misleading information that tripled my stay cost
The hotel was difficult to find so we needed help getting there. We received a link to park and got told that the parking fee was 20 euros overnight. But the link provided was NOT for the 20 euros parking, but it cost me 70 euros for less than 24 hrs. VERY misleading and disappointing. The parking cost me twice the room cost. BE CAREFUL WITH INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED BY OWNER

For the first time a booking via Expedia, the reception asked us to settle bills only in cash. They do not accept credit cards. I would like Expedia to explicitly mention this at the time of booking. Foreign travelers do not carry so much cash to settle hotel bills. And then I had to figure out, withdraw money and settle in cash. Very poor experience
