Good
Great location!
The best thing about this hotel was the location. Just off the side of La Ramblas with great access to metro and surrounding areas. Room was generally good but had bad issues with a shower which flooded the whole bathroom floor (no seals on glass door) and a leaking toilet. Did inform reception but I don’t think the issue was understood or fixed. A little disappointing considering the price to stay at the hotel. Apart from that the rooftop bar was great, friendly staff and overall a real gem in the heart of the city.

Very good
Very central hotel for La Ramblas
Stayed for 3 nights. Wasn’t keen on the street hotel is located in just off La Rambles and opposite a hostel. At times the street felt a little unsafe. Inside the hotel its spectacular. Check-in good. Lift to all floors. Room was lovely. Not a nice view but didn’t matter. Beds are hard so if that’s not to your liking best avoid. The shower however leaked really badly to the degree the water went into the bedroom. Had to use every towel to soak up the water. We reported this and was told someone would fix it. It wasn’t whilst we were there. Bar in hotel was lovely with excellent service. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but had breakfast which was ok. Had better. Internet is not a secure connection, beware if you use it. Would recommend this hotel for short stays. Pool was not open but expected that due to time of year. However it was really hot and would have been nice to have been able to sit on the roof top with a drink.

Cool and unexpectedly sophisticated
A gem of a property, nicely restored. Lovely inner atrium, giving on to grand piano between reception and dining room . A very nice bar, next to another cool lounge, with a knowledgeable and helpful barman. Drinks were on the high side for Barca but not 5* rates. Service was fine. We were in the back of the building so rooms had little natural light, which on the other hand also meant little Rambla noise! We had planned to breakfast at Boqueria market so did not sample breakfast, which at Eur 20 pp didn't sound like good value. And anyway would not compare to market smoothies followed by pastries less than 2 minutes away! Location was great: 100m from La Rambla at the Opera, metro right there, and no noise (and none of the ladies of the night who frequent the other end of the same street). Rooms were very cool, spotless and as described. Showers not adequately thought through- flooded floors, but even that did not get us running to complain. Frosted bathroom doors not for everyone...! Right at the upper end of 4*. And very good value room rate (bar and dining best avoided if budget sensitive!).

A Very Nice Trip
Room was clean. Value for money. A very lovely place to stay. Clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Our stay was very comfortable- beds were amazing. Room was cleaned and refreshed everyday. A very well designed hotel. However, shower was not well done - water leaked through the gap in the glass door and literally created a swimming pool in the bathroom every single use.

The most perfect location with amazing decor
The location of the hotel was perfect, could not have asked for a better location, just off a side street of La Rambla. The decor throughout the hotel was beautiful with the preservation of the original decoration kept intact. The interior design of the room and bathroom was really nice and would love for my own home to look like this!! I cannot fault the room and amenities there - it had everything we needed and more including a shower that offered a steam room aspect. The shower was a little complicated to work out how to use at the start so it would be beneficial to have maybe a little card in the bathroom to quickly explain maybe. Also only tiny negative is that the hotel housekeepers came around and woke us up earlier than other hotels we have stayed at - i understand we were sleeping in (it was 9am when they came in) but maybe it would be better for them to come round once breakfast finishes - this is at 10.30 for this hotel. However, this has not put us off in any way and would gladly stay at the hotel again.
