The staff at Hotel Alda Centro was amazing--very friendly and helpful, and they went above and beyond in extending hospitality and kindness. The room was clean and had everything a tired traveler could need.

Fantastic staff, well organized. Room was clean; however hotel was noisy after 12 even. Wound be nice to have a coffee maker /small kettle or sorts in the room.

Basic

Very basic hotel. The room was not exactly as on the pictures. The bathroom was antic. The breakfast was poor. The staff of the hotel is not very friendly and helpful, but the guy from the reception of the hostel part is great, very friendly and helpful person. I am with the feeling that the hostel part is better option if you want to book.

I would have appreciated bottled water in the room. There was a vending machine in the lobby and they couldn’t make change and it was Sunday and nothing was open at 7 pm. For the price of the room, I would expect having bottled water in the room.

Not my favorite hotel. There was no place to sit in my room except on the bed. There was no air conditioning and my room was very hot. And there was no elevator to my floor

Avoid if you want a good night’s sleep

Super thin walls. The hotel decided to give the connecting room to a group of teenagers who smoked marijuana and played loud music until 3 in the morning. Because both rooms shared a door; We could hear and smell everything. The hotel staff leaves at 11pm so we had to call the general office 3 times and almost beg for someone to come and take care of the situation. The noise did not stop until after 3 in the morning. The hotel team was completely unapologetic and did not apologize or acknowledge the situation they put us through by giving a connecting room to strangers. In addition to this incident; The hotel is quite old and run down. Good for a short stay, but wouldn't recommend for more than 2 nights.

El hotel está muy bien para viajes en solitario, muy cerca del centro y de los principales lugares de interés de Ponferrada, como el Castillo, la Basílica de la Encina y el museo del Ferrocarril.

Poorly maintained, if at all. Tiling around bath deep with grime. Wall tiles in bathroom coming away from wall. No plug for sink but a sign saying don’t waste water. Oh it was cheap, but not cheerful.
