We loved the great location and how quiet the sleeping room was

Large clean room with shared bathroom (it wasn’t clear this was the case when booking, but the other room was unoccupied). Fantastic location, quiet. Good value for money.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. The location is great with many restaurants nearby. I would highly recommend a tour to Staffa Island. It was incredible. I would skip the continental breakfast. Overall a great place in Oban.

The property is spotlessly clean, kudos to the cleaners ! We were asked to pay cash on arrival as the payment machine was not working. Elaine who attended our arrival and was very nice and helpful. The property is in a very convenient location and very handy for shopping, restaurants and the watersedge where the Ferries depart and arrive.

Arbour Guesthouse is a simple place but it's clean and it's a good value (considering that accomodations in Oban are a bit pricy). We regretted though that the "double bed" was only 120 cm and not properly advertised as sub-standard. It would be nice as well to have good curtains (blackout and down to the floor) as up north the sun rises very early in summer.

The description was lacking..

Looking at the descriptions of the room, it’s very deceptive because I had no idea that we would have a shared bathroom. It makes it a point to say when there’s a private bathroom, but it seems to omit that from the shared bathroom. For three people the room was extremely small I get it’s a budget hotel but I would’ve paid the extra money to have my own bathroom. Otherwise it is a great location.. I’m sure the rooms that have private restrooms are probably much better and hopefully a little bit larger.

The room needs a revamp so please manage your expectations. The bedding was clean and the shared bathroom was clean. This was a last minute booking as we were desperate, but I would not stay there again.

The room had an ensuite, though it was a bit cramped. The bed was okay, but a bit soft for me. You had an option of a continental breakfast, but the breakfast room was at another associated property 2 doors down. It was within walkimg distance of the town centre.

Pay for parking, but everything is in walking distance. Shower is the least favorable, warm water only, but great for the price.

Shower is inside the room. Toilet shared on the floor. Not value for money as I felt overcharged for the quality of the hotel. Breakfast is basic, non-attended

2/10 Poor

Sorry to say, but there was really absolutely nothing we liked about this place. From the staff to the room, to noisy disturbances for the whole night. everything was horrible. At least they could avoid vacuum cleaning at 8.00 AM on a Sunday just in front of the room. Sorry. Just try to avoid this property.

Im not a fan of shared bathrooms and keys that are tricky to maneuver but i take into account the age of the building and the character of the town.

Unfortunately, our Room no. 4 was very noisy due to the Wind (Windows not thight, roof tiles ratteling). Toilet door could only hardly be locked. Neighbouring rooms could have been listened.

Booking was not clear to indicate that parking although “available” did not mean on-site or free. Had to pay for meter and park either up the street or on the street. Had to switch rooms to have toilet & bath in room instead of shared. Also not clear in the booking site.
