Birthday treat
Good hotel with varied entertainment. Don’t book a small double room, these are the size of a single room although was ok for our one night stay. The room was looking tired and needed updating but the reception and bar area were nice. It’s seemed to be very hectic in the dining room and the orange juice tasted like dilute but can’t complain for what we paid. Would stay again but only if we got a good deal again.

Glass in bed
Booked this hotel last minute. Very disappointed as there was a loud generator type noise all night, so found it very difficult to sleep. The worst thing about the stay was when I was getting comfortable in the bad a felt a sharp scratch when I rubbed my feet together. I then took the bedding off and found a small piece of glass I was lucky I only scratched my skin and didn't get cut. I then checked the rest of the bed and around the floor and I then found another sharp object that looked like a piece off a broken mirror. I handed the both pieces in when I checked out and I just received a "sorry about that. Did you cut yourself, can I keep it and I will let house keeping know. Thanks very much have a safe journey home".

Not for young children
We went to check in and I was told they didn't allow children, which was a bit humiliating with a big queue behind us. I asked how I was allowed to book a 3 year old if they didn't allow children and the guy said I had put his age down as 10, had to show my confirmation to prove I had put my sons age down as 3 so not sure who was at fault here, hotels.com or the hotel. After speaking to the manager the guy at check in said we could stay which was a good job after trailing all our bags and a pram up the steps! Couldn't fault the staff or the food. Breakfast time was a bit like a cattle market but you can order your breakfast to get served to your table if you would prefer not to queue. Parking outside the hotel was a bit tight so I'd recommend to get there early for a decent spot

It was a lovely stay for a few days with friends. Most staff very helpful until last morning when returning to my room after breakfast just after 9.30 to finish packing and clean my teeth a cleaner was in my room stripping the bed and had bundled my suitcase and packed my wash bag and cleared the top of my belongings and bundled them on top of the suitcase near the door. Left a bad feeling after a really nice weekend. Did complain and said she would be reprimanded and if I booked again could have a sea view. I stay in Blackpool many times over the year. Did feel I had outstayed my welcome even though checkout was 10.30 -11 as stated by receptionist.
