My husband and I stayed at L'oscar for a week for our anniversary. It was an absolute joy! Every detail of the property is lush and beautiful. The staff were attentive and went out of their way to make our stay excellent. We were originally staying in a "superior room" (which is luxurious, but quite small) and mentioned that there was a gap in the curtains which made it difficult to sleep in late in the mornings. That same night they had moved us to a junior suite, for no extra cost. The suite was enormous. We enjoyed both rooms very much. Housekeeping was excellent. The noise level was quite good for the location (there were occasional ambulance or fire sirens, so we must have been near a station, but it was generally quite quiet). The location is perfect - we were in walking distance of nearly everything we wanted to see. The British Library was a 15 minute walk. The British Museum was 10 minutes. Wellcome Collection 15 minutes. Lots of good shopping (antiques, books, souvenirs, clothing, necessaries) within a few blocks. The atmosphere of the hotel was excellent - it wasn't very busy and there are lots of little nooks to relax with a book and a drink. The cocktails at the bar were quite excellent. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to try the high tea due to our schedule, but we did breakfast and dine at the hotel. The food was good, and breakfast was included with the room, which was quite convenient for days we wanted to get an early start.

I couldn’t see the menu Norcutt my wife. And the food was a little bit messy in that it was tried to be something special and it didn’t need to be just wanted some good wholesome food and probably a little bit hotter than it was but it came out. Amazing, Superb, the best
Every year myself and the wife stay at a top class hotel in London for our Wedding Anniversary. This year and our 13th year married, I decided to book L'oscar hotel. From stepping into the hotel and walking out, all the staff we met could not have been more courteous, helpful and we were made to very welcome. The room was opulent with every comfort catered for. The bathroom was huge and the shower fantastic with his and her shower products (especially made for the hotel). We dined in the Baptist Bar and Grill and the décor was beautiful but the food was outstanding. The service by all the Baptist Bar and Grill was superb with recommendations of the food and drinks being absolutely spot on. When returning to the room we were greeted by and lovely gesture of a cake wishing us happy anniversary (which we had similar in the bar and grill) and the bedroom turned down ready for the night. We ordered breakfast in bed and this was just as magnificent as everything else and the best I've had to date (we spent three hours eating out way through most of the food). Finally had the opportunity to check the bill on the TV before checking out, which was quick and painless. Last year stayed in the Savoy hotel and have the say that the L'Oscar is better (they could take a leaf out of your book). Once again many thanks for those who made our stay memorable.

Nice Hotel in a Good Convenient Central Location
Very nice hotel in a very convent location in London. Easy walk to lots of sites, theater, museums (including the British Museum) and good restaurants and bars. Also just a 1/4 block from the Holborn Underground Station which is services by the Piccadilly and Central lines. You can take the Piccadilly line directly to and from Heathrow Airport which is very convenient. The rooms were not as “special” as maybe you would expect them to be based on the ratings, but it was comfortable and decent size. The beds were also pretty comfortable. The two restaurants in the hotel are good and they have a really nice cocktail bar. The immediate surrounding couple of blocks are not too special (besides being convenient), but you get beyond that and you get to some great areas to eat, drink and shop. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel if you are get it for a decent price.

New and Beautiful Hotel
My wife and I stayed at L'Oscar during a long layover in London. We had planned on a romantic evening, but we had both fallen ill earlier in our trip, so our trip consisted of resting in the room and eating dinner at the bar. The room was picturesque, the food was incredible even with our lack of taste from congestion, the staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. The one point that really stuck out was how nice the bathrooms were. I know it's not the first thing one looks for in a hotel, but the decor, the shower size, the inclusion of speakers, towel warmers, and a heated mirror, and the over-sized towels were a welcome addition for us room dwellers. The bird lamps found all over the hotel were unique and whimsical. We will certainly be back when we are able to better enjoy this location.
