Exceptional 10.0
Great hotel in Akasaka!
For a small "budget" hotel, this hotel delivered!!! Room is small, but was quiet, no hallway noise, was very clean, AC dropped the room temperature to something much more comfortable for this northerner, staff was super friendly (borrowed a screwdriver to fix my laptop - and I don't speak Japanese). WiFi was very fast!! Shower was hot! Very short walk to Tokyo Akasaka subway station, great neighborhood, very safe!! Japan rooms tend to be small, if westerners then may feel cramped (but this is true for most hotels in Japan). Great stay!

It was neat for sure, but mattress was too soft for us. TV Chanel doesn’t cover a lot.

A little overpriced for what you get
Good hotel overall. Room: smaller compared to other hotels for which I paid a cheaper nightly rate. I could barely open my medium-sized luggage. Plus: it has the 3-holes American outlets, which I haven't seen a lot of in Japanese hotels. Other than that, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean. There was a little cold wind coming from the windows which I checked was closed so I had to keep the heater on most of the time. Meals: Don't bother to book breakfast as the options are pretty limited and not that filling (unless you stock up on bread). There are plenty of options in the neighborhood as well as convenience stores. Location: close to 2 subway stations from 2 different lines so you can get to Shibuya in max 30 mins.
