The hotel is amazing! We were totally obsessed with our room again! This is the second time we have visited Amsterdam and both times staying here, can’t fault it! Will 100% be coming back to visit. Didn’t want to leave. Staff were lovely and extremely helpful.

Good 6.0
Not bad but better hotels out there!
Overall this was a good hotel, Arthur on reception was really helpful, especially when advising us on public transport; but the hotel itself had some big negatives - firstly the lighting in the hotel room, it was so dark!! The walls are black/ black with a jungle print and the main room is lit with small dim spotlights; there are two reading spotlights and two hanging lamps on either side of the bed which provide minimal lighting. We realised that the windows offered no privacy and you could clearly see into the rooms from the train station - which is something to bear in mind. The metro station is a 5 minute walk away, but you really have to know the route in order to access the hotel, the first day we ended up on the wrong side of the river and there’s no way round. When your arrive at the right exit you have to walk round a building to access the hotel even though you can see it straight ahead. The spa is a little over rated, we went to use the outdoor heated pool and it was no where near hot enough to counteract the November air. The foot spa was just a sink for the feet and there was nothing provided to add to the water an no bubbles. The sauna was nice and much needed after the pool experience. We arrived too late to use the restaurant on the first night but the bar was open till midnight, the menu was quite limited and I had to return my first meal as the burger bun was stale and extremely hard; the staff were nice about this. I had higher hopes.
