great stay in san diego
lovely stylish hotel with boutique friendly vibe

Not usual IHG standard
This hotel is more geared towards business travellers; we had a suite but the “meeting” table and cheaply veneer finished furniture made it look and feel very functional as opposed to cosy. Several of the staff were far too uninterested to be working in a new hotel, in particular the pool attendant who was rarely to be seen and when he was, was rude and unhelpful. I asked where I could get a towel and he grunted and pointed vaguely in the direction of the pool. Nice! We loved our first time in San Diego but sadly don’t think we would return to this hotel. We remain fans of the IHG group but not this hotel.

Nice hotel, extras costs frustrating.
Really nice hotel, decent rate when booking and paying up front on this site, however there was an amenity fee added by the property of $25 a night, no doubt to mitigate the costs of using sites like this. I'm sure its in the t&c's so i don't have a foot to stand on but given we had stayed for a significant period it added another cost to what was already an expensive trip. Not the end of the world but leaves something of a bitter taste as you leave the door. Receptionist no doubt hears the complaint regularly as she did everything she could to get me not to check the bill, reading out the few extras we had charged and then saying she'd email the bill. it was only when I queried the total amount which made no sense and then insisting she print it that all became clear. Don't blame her, she was no doubt sick of the same conversation.

Nice two night stay
Stayed here for two nights, hotel has only been open for 6 months so everything was lime new, had a room in the 5th floor over looking a construction site as only paid for a standard room, no noise from the site but could here the air-conditioning fans from what I think was the bar/restaurant but you soon become used to it, location is good although if you walk anywhere its mostly uphill.

Good service
The hotel staff were very helpful, especially Conor, who worked on the door...always a warm welcome back from him each evening. Would happily stay again.
