As we arrive when it was dark we found that the hotel wasn't very well advertised nor was the address correct as there seem to be 2 hotels sharing the same front door? We didn't get the normal a welcoming you get when you first arrive at the hotel reception. We were given some quick instructions and sent off in a direction towards our room. You had to exit the main part of the hotel to our room via the back door and enter the building annex? The shower was quite tight and the towels were on the small size. Continental breakfast was in conservatory between the two buildings and was't really impressed. Not a great deal of choice there was ham and cheese which I didn't have but I was able to have cereal, toast and tea/coffee. No acknowledgement from any of the staff apart from when we checked out the next day at reception, asked if we enjoyed our stay or something like that. On the the positive side the hotel had an easy check-in, door security system to the annex and a room was impressive, was quite central for what we want in Camden and our room was very clean and bright. The hotel could do with improving the customer experience (greeting etc) a bit better.

Almost new simple hotel
Hotel is recently refurbished so interior is so good as new (visit august 2018). Rooms are very small (2,8x3,8m) and there are no extra facilities like a chair. There is a bed, a closet and a make-up table, no chair. 2persons bed is comfortable but very small. There is WiFi from the SMART TV but as expected in the UK WiFi and mobile internet are not that good as in The Netherlands. Air conditioning worked very well, also during our stay with hot temperatures (plus 30C) and room directly under the roof. Bathroom is nice but very very small (0.8m x 2,8m). Bus stop is nearby, with bus only 4 stops away from underground Camden Station. Within 30 minutes you are in London Trafalgar square. Walk to Camden market is approximately 15-20 minutes. Overall when you search a not to expensive, nice clean simple hotel, this is a good choice.

Brand new building, clean and near transport.
I booked one night at the hotel because I was travelling from King's Cross at 5.30am the next day. The Camden Belmont has a massive sign outside that says Corner House Hotel on it which is a little confusing. It's only 10-15 minute walk from Camden Rd Station and Camden Town Tube is walking distance too. Check in was quick and easy and the room I was in was all brand spanking new so there can't be any reason to complain about wear and tear. Everything was clean and the room was warm with a great quality shower, a TV, tea and coffee making facilities, shower gel and soap. The bed was comfortable. I have only knocked off one point because the cab I booked through reception for the morning to take me to King's Cross cost £10 which was extortionate for a 5 minute journey. Next time I'll book my own UBER. Overall, a very nice experience.

Weekend Break
Billboard outside says Corner House Hotel, confusing as we booked The Camden Belmont for our 3 night break. Tiny sign on the wall says Belmont Hotel. No welcome at reception. Here’s your room key and that was it. Room spotless and the cleaning ladies work so hard every day and are really friendly. Stumbled across where to have breakfast, in a conservatory in the gardens. I say breakfast, a choice between white or brown bread, orange juice or water and cocoa pops or cornflakes, hardly worth offering. We went to the local Sainsbury’s for croissants and juice instead and had breakfast in our room. Room was clean with the usual facilities. Bathroom was really cramped, couldn’t bend over to wash your face without bumping into the door. The tiny sink was a challenge to have a shave in too. Very clean though. Ideal for Camden and Kentish Town 15-20 walk away and the tube stations. Would probably look elsewhere next tine we come to London.

Nice clean and newly furnished room at the Belmont
We had a good stay with our two boys from Canada. The hotel was comfortable and clean. The service was good. We arrived early and they allowed us to leave our bags. There s a nice pub, The Lord Stanley, not far away and a great Italian Deli with good coffee on Brecknock Rd. The breakfast was great. All that is needed for a good start. I liked the conservatory. Shower was very good. The alarm went off because someone was smoking and the staff dealt with it very efficiently. I will return! Very handy spot for Camden, Kings Cross and West End. The buses to Trafalgar Square right outside were pretty quick. We also walked to Caledonian Rd tube (10 mins) for the Piccadilly line to Heathrow.
