place to stay
The hotel is fairly new and spotlessly clean, not a scuff on any wall! As expected the rooms are very small but the bed was very comfy and we both slept really well. The bath was a bonus after a busy sightseeing day! The breakfast was acceptable. Opinion soup, cheese and ham toasty or fried egg and sausage on toast, banana, yogurt, cereal juice tea and coffee. Free tea and coffee all day in the lobby was a bonus. The map gets you to the correct block but the wrong side of it! We had to ask for directions. It up the road parallel to the one shown on the map. Great hotel convenient to railway station (as in 10mins walk do-able with wheeled cases. We would choose this again.

Great friendly hotel in Central Tokyo
Easily accessible from Kanda station (south exit) this is a new hotel and is an ideal base for exploring Tokyo. You can get to most places from Kanda as it’s one stop from the main Tokyo station and on lines included in the JR Pass. By western standards the rooms are small - the standard doubles have a couple of feet spare around the bed, which is a natty cabin style with drawers for clothes, a kettle and tray, a fridge and an alcove for a stool. The bathrooms are great if cosy - great shower - my friend wanted to buy one, and the loos are the best Japanese type with heated seats etc. We managed very well for 13 nights in a standard double (11+2, we went back) but if you need more space, book a deluxe room. They have a card system for food and drink. If you book an inclusive breakfast deal you get a 1000 yen card with 10x100 yen points for each day. You then spend these for breakfast (there’s a good choice of hot and cold food, each item priced individually), lunch (weekdays - 3 hot dishes) or at other times (snacks, draught beer, bottled drinks etc). If you don’t book breakfast or if you run out, you buy a card. Tea and coffee are free all at all times. There are washing machines available too. We were there during the Rugby World Cup, in particular during typhoon Hagibis. The staff were normally very friendly and helpful but were superb during the typhoon, ensuring that there was food and help for us all day long. Thank you all. We will happily go back.

Excellent budget Tokyo hotel
This hotel was an excellent base for our four nights in Tokyo. Only five minutes from Kanda Station( which is one stop from Tokyo Station) and within walking distance of lots of tourist spots we had an excellent stay. The room was much bigger than the other hotels we experienced in Japan and the Staff could not have been more helpful. There have been some comments about the breakfast points system but we found this a huge bonus. We had plenty to eat each morning and enough points left over for lots of snacks. Would definitely recommend.

Good stay for the 4D/4N we needed it. The room was very small but we love the use of space and to be honest, we only needed it for sleeping. We had to do "tetris" with our (4) luggage(s) and stuff but it was expected since I know I booked a small room, so no complaints. We also had everything we needed like mini ref, a safe, luggage storage, coffee/tea drawer, clothes drawer, trash can (all under the bed!) :)...there's also a (foldable) table, great shower and toilet, some hangers. We found the bed a little too hard for us but then we have a tempur matress at home so that's the comparison. It was still comfortable. The most important for us is the cleanliness and it did not disappoint. Free coffee and tea and a mini snack bar where (where you can purchase stuff) is also a plus at the mini lobby reception. Location. It's our first time in Tokyo and tho we don't know much about good areas, we love ICI in Kanda. It's walking distance to Akihabara (which is the main area for my husband's gadget shopping!) but it's also quiet and walking distance from many stations so going around was easy. We think the surrounding areas is a bit high end which is good. No rowdy people walking around and you feel calm at night walking back to your hotel. All in all, I would say we would stay here again if we go Tokyo and this is best for couples or solo travellers.
