Lovely one night stay
Arrived and was welcomed by Helen who took us up to our room. The room was clean and had tea making facilities including a small fridge with water and fresh milk. There was also a couple of slices of homemade cake. There was no phone or TV signal which was actually lovely and forces you to chill out. The dining room has a large collection of DVDs that you can borrow if you wish to watch something. We had the most delicious 3 course meal there that evening and a beautifully cooked breakfast the following morning. The room was on the cooler side which suited my husband, but there was a duel controlled electric blanket on the bed so my side was warm and cosy. This is a beautiful, little B&B with those extra touches that make it special. Thank you John and Helen for a wonderful stay

A Little Gem
John and Helen are amazing hosts in every way. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be recommending Lowther House to our friends. The breakfast is really very good and if you have a chance their evening dinner is excellent. John and Helen have a good eye for detail making for a very comfortable stay.

Exceptional Country House Stay
We have just returned from a delightful three night stay. The hosts Helen and John were so welcoming ,friendly and attentive. Immaculate rooms ,ours was delightful and overlooked the beck. Lovely special touches such as delicious home made cake each day on our return to our room and fresh flowers. Superb and plentiful breakfast with a good range of choices. One evening we had the evening meal which was excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for the hosts and they certainly go the extra mile for you. We will most certainly return.
