The room was massive and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were very helpful. I would definitely recommend this accommodation. The only drawbacks were that unlike some other tourist accommodation in Iceland, you were not allowed to pack a packed lunch from the breakfast bar which, given the high cost-of-living in Iceland, is something potential guests may want to consider if visiting Iceland on a budget. That said, though, breakfast is available until 10am so you can easily have a big brunch and negate the need for a lunch. In addition, the wi-fi did drop in and out although it was fine for checking googlemaps, emails etc.

Would have been better in a less crowded room. We paid extra for a larger room, which we got,but did not have ane room as there were two single beds plus a set of bunk beds. Good location and quiet, good mattress.

Excellent value for money, with a added bonus
The guesthouse offers very good value for money, especially because it offers a superb breakfast. An added bonus was the availability of a kitchen. This meant we could buy food from a supermarket and prepare it at the guesthouse, thereby saving money. The most 'frustrating' aspect of staying here was that we needed three keys to get to our room and the keys aren't marked in any way.

Comfortable hotel, but I don't recall it saying in the description that the bathrooms would be shared. That's not necessarily a dealbreaker, but I would have liked to have known.

Basic but clean room in Reykjavik
Check-in for Guesthouse Andrea is around the corner at Guesthouse Aurora. Breakfast is also served at Guesthouse Aurora. Breakfast was good with freshly baked loaves of bread, jams, peanut butter, nutella, sliced meats, cheeses, cucumbers, tomatoes, cereals, oatmeal, juices, and hard-boiled eggs. Rooms are simple but clean. Shared bathroom worked fine for me; never had to wait to use it. Convenient location near the big church with its tall, steeple that can be seen from almost anywhere in town (so it's always easy to find one's way home). No complaints.
