The hotel itself and the rooms were absolutely gorgeous. The staff was friendly and helpful. The dinner options were a bit limited and on the pricier side, which isn't really surprising given the upscale facilities. The only negative I would say is the location, as there really isn't much within 10 miles.

This property has a lot of potential. Our room was very sparse and not inviting. Not what we expected in a castle. The common rooms were very beautiful and fun to lounge in. The bar and restaurant staff didn't seem very knowledgable about their menus, although the food was very good. The grounds were nice but could have been beautified a little.

This traditional country house hotel offers a weary traveller a very comfortable overnight stay. The imposing building is impressive but only a one minute drive from the main road so easy to reach and well signposted. We arrived quite late in the evening after a delayed flight and our check-in was quick and the staff so helpful, calling a local take away for us as the hotel kitchen had closed for the evening. Our room was spacious and well presented, the bed was really comfy and facilities clean and tidy. Breakfast was a great offer of help yourself items with a separate menu of cooked to order items available. The breakfast staff were lovely and it was a relaxed affair which set the day up nicely. This is an old building and offers tradition with a lounge with large sofas and a cosy bar, a neat breakfast room and lovely gardens. A lovely start to our Scottish highland adventure.

This place is as comfortable as it is charming. Our room was spacious and included nice touches like bathrobes, a towel warmer, sparkling water, and an espresso machine. Breakfast includes a freshly cooked item from the menu plus continental buffet, and it's all delicious. We had dinner at the on-site restaurant one night and it was fabulous. We had seen mixed reviews about other people's stays and were a bit apprehensive about what to expect. We could NOT have had a more fantastic stay. Staff were extremely attentive and welcoming especially Veejay( the manager), Gary, Anne and Nadine. We are a family of 6 ( 3 adult couples) and it was the perfect highland base for exploring the area. Food was fresh and was made from scratch. Leave time for leisurely meals. Specially props for breakfast pancakes. Rooms were spacious and beds extremely comfy with beautiful views. Lots of communal spaces to enjoy family time and hang out. Highly recommend !!

Excellent castle manor building with a relaxed vibe and attentive staff. Great views across the Cromarty Firth and nice grounds. Watch for the ponies, rabbits, birds and roaming robot mowers! Breakfast and food in the restaurant is very good. Lounge and bar are very comfortable and the whole place is tastefully decorated. We had a large attic room which was warm and comfortable.

Staff very friendly and welcoming - Veejay was wonderful upon check in and showed us round before we headed up to our room. Our room was very spacious and our 14 year old appreciated the separate room he had! We were leaving early on our departure day and so it was organised for us to be able to go down to the breakfast room and have continental breakfast which was greatly appreciated! We wouldn’t hesitate to book again!
