Tromso was a great place to visit. The hotel was a disappointment, the outlets to charge phone and iPad did not work in room, therefore spent a lot of time in lobby charging devices. The staff was quite cold and not very friendly. They seemed to be more interested in looking at computer versus speaking to guests coming and going. My check in guy was very nice and let me check in before stated time. Overall experience was similar to a sketchy motel in the US and not the quality of service I experienced throughout the rest of Norway for two weeks. Would not recommend staying here or with Thon hotels…ie…the motel 6 of Norway. Stay at the Raddison Blu, great bar and friendly staff, I worked out of their location due to Thon being less than impressive.

All I'll say is if you are black or someone of colour just avoid, or else beware. I stayed for 2 nights with my nephew, we came over to see the northern lights, but someone called the police on us! apparently we were suspicious. I dont know how - we checked in and had breakfast like everyone else, except whilsts black. Anyways, 2 cops knocked on my door and explained that they need to see our IDs which we duly complied and they left. I then went down to the reception to find out what happened and i met the same cops there, they told me they wanted to be sure we hadn't broken the covid quarantine rules. That's weird as when they came to my room they did not say that and they had walked in without protection and were happy to come close to me even though they thought i was a covid risk!!!. I believe the hotel called them on us but they wouldn't admit it. I won't know why and am now left to speculate - 2 black tourists is a little suspicious for this hotel workers. On a positive note we saw fantastic dancing northern lights.....

Altogether perfectly OK. Nice check-in/out, friendly staff. Small-ish room, but fine for 1 person. More expensive than one might expect, but relatively little competition to help drive down prices. Great location.

Expedia ref no. 7516002026828. Can your representative call me at +1 731 829 3993 about my hotel billing issue. My flight was delayed to next day, to Trimso and hotel said they only charged to Expedia for 2 days, i booked 3 days, Feb 26 to Feb 29. They said the refund of one night will sent back to Expedia. Can you notify me when the refund is processed. Thanks a lot. Shawn

The cleaning was great overall but for some reason our room rubbish was not collected for two days and there was no sign of any cleaning , changing of towels or replenishing in the bathroom ... so I had to ask for this to be done at reception. Other than that it was a fantastic stay

The location is great and the staff fantastic. Special mention to Corina at Reception who was delightful Like a lot of smaller location hotels in Norway the rooms e small but you get what you pay for. The Nespresso coffee station is great in reception along with the breakfast Overall a great hotel
