Amazing hotel in the centre of Strasbourg. Delicious breakfast, fast WiFi and strong aircon.

The hotel is a few minutes walk from the centre of town and about 15 minutes from Petite France....perfect location! A beautiful, historic building mixes with modern comfort inside with silent air conditioning, comfortable beds and spotless bathroom. The complimentary dressing gowns and slippers were a bonus, especially as we had only booked the basic room. All the staff were superb, a 24 hour reception team, speaking excellent English. Very funky hotel right in the centre

This is a five star hotel that really does provide a five star service. Our stay included all the features that you would expect from a hotel in this bracket, with some lovely aesthetic touches, but the most important feature was the friendliness of the staff and their eagerness to ensure that our stay was as enjoyable as possible. Impossible to beat the location just a few metres from the amazing Notre Dame Cathedral and surrounding cafes etc. Comfortable room and bed but noisy air conditioning. Overall a great place to stay.

Hugely busy for the Christmas markets but in a fantastic location. We were there at the beginning of December 2025. Directly opposite the cathedral. So Wonderful photo opportunities. About a 20 minute walk from the station through the traffic free roads so a good introduction to the city of Strasbourg

We stayed at this hotel in a suite overlooking the cathedral. The room was lovely with antique furniture in it, with 2 double beds and arm chairs. We were very comfortable. The hotel is very central with only a short walk to the cathedral and the 3 museums in the Palais Rohan. There are many restaurants a short walk away, including the Rimini which is very good, just round the corner. Finally, the staff were most helpful helping with our bags making sure we had everything we needed in our room

This is a really good value option right in the heart of the city. There's some quiky art in the rooms and the staff are very helpful. Don't expect a 4 star hotel, but the rooms are comfortable and the location is great - the cathedral is literally 5 mins walk away. Doubt that there's a more affordable option in the old town

It would benefit from a lift down to the car park, the stairs are hazardous. The breakfast is far too expensive for what is on offer and wasn’t kept topped up when items ran out. The views from the breakfast room over the city rooftops are lovely. A good hotel centrally positioned for all city facilities. However the air conditioning didn’t work although we reported it and it was advertised as being available.

A gorgeous hotel in an excellent location. There was nothing to fault with Le Bouclier D'or. Our deluxe room at the top of the hotel was one of the nicest we've ever stayed in with plenty of space, everything we needed and being very comfortable. There was a good selection at breakfast and all members of staff were friendly and helpful. All in all we would highly recommend this hotel.

Staff were helpful, warm and polite

We had a great stay. The staff were excellent and we would recommend. There is a hotel and spa and also separate pavilion area nearby.

Excellent hotel with large bedroom and bathroom. We were very grateful to have air conditioning as it was very hot when we were there. Convenient location with a very clean and well maintained car park opposite and a short walking distance into the main city. A lovely hotel, that we would highly recommend.

I found this hotel on trip advisor & am delighted that we booked it. Newly opened (3mths old), its got a boutiquey vibe to it with some quality quirky furnishing touches. We booked a deluxe room so slightly bigger & cannot fault anything. The staff were lovely & helpful & very friendly, and the breakfast superb. Within 10 minutes of the centre, what more do you need?
