"Always welcoming and a properly staffed reception. Lovely rooms at the front. Stocked bar with a very handy pizza & beer offer for £12. Quality linens in the rooms. Unrestricted parking 50yds away. The Strand has become my 'go to' for Eastbourne and I usually stay there twice a month (having tried 7 or 8 other hotels along the strip). "

"Lovely hotel, our room, although a little dated was a great size, large balcony, wonderful views. We had a full bathroom which was perfect and also plenty of tea, coffee and milk not like a lot of fancy hotels where you just get two milk cartons. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast had a good selection."

"Really amazing hotel, much better than I expected Rooms are very big, high ceiling and right in front of the sea for an amazing sea view . Highly recommended and will use this again. "The Hotel specialises in coach tours. Many of their reviews are quite bad. But our room was clean. Spacious and well equipped. Only criticism is mains sockets near beds have been removed so cannot charge phones beside the beds."

"We stayed just one night whilst attending a local event. Emma and Garry couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. Our room was immaculate and the decor tasteful. The en-suite bathroom was equally so. We had everything we needed for very comfortable stay. The continental breakfast was very good and there was the opportunity for a more substantial meal if we wanted. The food menu looked varied and interesting. Overall, this is a comfortable proper pub with excellent, clean and very tasteful...
