"The hotel was beautiful! The location across from the Catedral Barcelona was perfect with the plaza between. The hotel food was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed Lamaro's breakfast, dinner outside on the plaza, and the roof top patio. The staff was amazing and friendly. This is where we will stay again if we return to Barcelona."

PS: Just to make you all aware you need to pay city tax in Barcelona for your stay."

"Lovely hotel in a good location, opposite the Sants station for easy access to all attractions. Friendly, helpful staff. Beautifully appointed rooms with amazingly soft sheets on the beds! Most of the city is also walkable, within 30-45mins. Rooftop bar is an attraction for many with its stunning views, but not only hotel guests. It is quite small, but access is controlled. Would love to stay there again and can highly recommend."

"If you arrive at the station Sants or plan to leave from the same, and only need to stay one night, then the location is perfect.
If you want to see some of the more interesting areas such as Poble Nou, Gràcia or Eixample then choose another hotel. The area around Sants is a bit sketchy."

"We spent 4 nights there, very nice and clean hotel. It’s in a quiet area, about 15 mins drive to museum. Staff are very friendly and showed us the attractions. It has an open top pool, though it was closed so we didn’t get to see. The gym has some basic equipment but good enough. The only thing surprised us is the 10% city tax they charged, but we found out it’s for everyone visiting Barcelona, so it’s not hotel charges. Overall, we had wonderful stays there."

"Great location and we have stayed in Barcelona many times. This was worth it even just for the stunning roof terrace. Panoramic view of the city with the amazing Sagrada Familia taking centre stage. Room was really nice with lovely shower. Staff always really helpful even when we arrived after midnight."

The hotel is stylish, quiet, clean and in a super-convenient location, within walking distance of sights and great places to eat and drink. We especially loved the Gothic quarter, the cathedral, the Sagrada Familia and other Gaudi buildings. The staff are professional and charming - nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend.

We couldn't fault this hotel - a last-minute booking due to travel disruptions, we were very impressed with the accommodation and facilities offered by this hotel, so much so that we rather wished we'd spent the other nights of our stay in Barcelona here! Excellent room - very quiet (but there is building work being carried out in a neighbouring property which started up quite early although not really a problem for us). This hotel is an oasis of calm on the Ramblas. perfect location for sightseeing, shopping and may dining options near by and in the hotel itself. All the staff we spoke to had excellent English and were very professional and helpful. The room itself was very comfortable and clean.
My only comment is that more water should be provided in the rooms, one small bottle between two people isn't enough.

This hotel is within 15 minute walking distance of the airbus drop off point and is located in the gothic quarter. It was quirky, full of character and absolutely spotless. Don’t be expecting perfect straight walls and floors here! But what you will get is a super central location, reception staff that were friendly and organised, big bed, great shower and bathroom, authentic continental breakfast and a smile everywhere you go from the staff. You will also be smiling to yourself everytime you...

For four seniors it was our first visit, we stayed for a week and it was fabulous, such a beautiful clean city. We did a Boat tour, Cable car, Metro, Wine Tasting, Bus Tour. Lots of shops to visit. And visited lots of the main attractions. The locals were so friendly. Transport was brilliant and 5 min from the hotel.

Hotel Oasis was a great stay and would absolutely recommend and come back!! Check in very easy and room was ready when we arrived at 1pm - fantastic! Staff member was lovely and gave us tips for the city. We were first floor and room faced to street but there was little to no noise at all through the night. Did not disturb our sleep at all. Room was so clean and spacious. Very comfy bed and amazing foam pillows - wanted to sneak them home! If like us you like your tea - bring your own tea bags....

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Ciutat Vella
Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Ciutat Vella is during January, November, and December, when hotel prices are generally lower. For those on a budget, a stay of at least 3 to 4 days is recommended to fully explore the area’s significant landmarks, historical sites, and cultural offerings. Highlights include stunning architecture, the impressive cathedral, various museums, and charming shopping opportunities. Visitors can also enjoy dining options near the picturesque port, as well as a variety of historical churches and monuments. This timeframe provides great value for money, allowing you to experience the rich history and culture of Ciutat Vella without breaking the bank.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Ciutat Vella, visit the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Dealsopens in new window sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates on nearby hotels as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com to stay updated on flash sales and special promotions, ensuring you don't miss opportunities to save. Additionally, the Smart Shoppingopens in new window tool in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you make informed choices. With these resources, you're more likely to find great hotel deals for a spontaneous getaway.
Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may help you find better rates for your stay in a Ciutat Vella hotel. If you're in search of something distinctive, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we might suggest alternative dates that could potentially lead to more affordable options.
Consider your location: Opting for accommodation near key attractions or city centres may provide convenience, but it often comes with a higher price tag. For those seeking more affordable options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, where you can balance cost with accessibility to your intended destinations. You might also look into independent hotels located further out, which are usually more likely to be budget-friendly and can offer a more authentic experience.
