"Nice boutique hotel that is very nice. It seemed to cater to a younger crowd as there was a DJ each evening in the restaurant area. It was also a bit of a trek (20-30 minute walk) to sites such as the Opera House and The Rocks but I loved walking through the city and the parks. For me as an older solo traveler, a hotel nearer The Rocks would have been better. The staff at Ace was quite nice."

"Best location! We walked everywhere! From the hotel to the Sydney Opera House and everywhere in between. And if you don’t want to walk any where, you don’t have to because a 5 minute walk takes you to the beautiful Darling Harbour. So many restaurants, shops and ice cream! Beautiful scenery with the water and yachts. Awesome playground for children too! The hotel has a delicious coffee and bakery shop in the lobby, a great restaurant and very helpful staff. The best hostel I have ever stayed in.
Great location and fab views of harbour from roof terrace.
Staff friendly and helpful, clean bedroom and shared kitchen area plus a good size kitchen and communal area.
Would stay again anytime,I fully recommend it ,it's a bit pricier than a hostel generally but it's worth it!

Pros:
staff very helpful and polite . Stored our cases for a few days while we went to Hunter Valley
Pool and spa tub great place to relax from early morning to evening
Perfect for family as small kitchen and plenty of space

Stayed here for 8 nights and would recommend. Great location just round the corner from the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Good atmosphere, great bands.
Might not be to everyone's liking if you don't like live music late at night and are trying to sleep ( but bands only on late at the weekend).
Rooms are fairly basic but comfortable so if you're looking for very reasonably priced accommodation ( which includes free breakfast) I'd say The Mercantile is a good choice.

Really impressed with Ace Hotel Sydney. They’ve done a great job capturing that New York feel and bringing it into Sydney without it feeling forced.
The location is a big win, right in a cool, lively part of the city with easy access to everything you’d want. Makes it a great base whether you’re here for work or a weekend.
Rooms are well designed and stylish, though a little on the smaller side. That said, the bed was seriously comfortable, which more than makes up for it after a long...
