Amazing place to stay...The hosts Sylvie & Sebastian are so welcoming and helpful. Sylvie gave us a map & advised best places to see in our short time there and without her help we wouldn't have seen as much. The hotel was fantastic and our room was massive and immaculate. A bit out of the centre but only a few tram stops away. Bordeaux itself was beautiful and we plan to go back to see a bit more of it and we will definitely stay at this fabulous accommodation...

The staff on reception (sorry we didnt get their names but especially the team working 8th October) were really helpful. After an injury out walking that needed medical help they got us to the nearest medical clinic and then pharmacy. The support was really appreciated.
Otherwise, the hotel itself was also worth the stay. It is brilliantly situated and the rooms were clean and quiet. Will stay here the next time we visit Bordeaux.

Very friendly owner . Room nice and clean . Arrross the river from the Train station and a nice walk to the city . Carparking on site . Breakfast was very limited . No TV or kettle in the room . So more incentive to see the city .

This is our second time staying here, can't be happier. Our 2nd time is just as good as the first time if it's not better. The room is perfectly decorated, small but charming. Fantastic location, very quiet but close to the city centre. Most importantly, the best thing about this hotel is that AMAZING staffs, all of them are very helpful, friendly and speak fluent English, this hotel must be very proud to find these amazing staffs and I hope they will maintain this level of service. Beautiful old building in the heart of old bordeaux. Large, comfortable room. Walking distance to all of the old town and riverfront. I will stay here again.

As a lone ,older, female traveler I must say that the staff could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and considering that I spoke very little French. They could not have been more helpful.
The room was spacious, very clean , comfortable and extremely quiet. The breakfast facilities were adequate and there was plenty of variety. Again the staff were very attentive and friendly. I can recommend Hotel Vatel and would not hesitate to stay there again.

For a truly enriching experience, staying for at least 2 to 3 days is recommended, allowing ample time to discover the town's historical landmarks, cultural sites, and scenic river walks. This budget-friendly approach ensures you can enjoy the opera, theatre performances, and leisurely sightseeing tours without overspending, making your trip great value for money.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals in Bastide, visit the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Dealsopens in new window sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates on hotels close to your travel date. Additionally, you could utilise the Smart Shoppingopens in new window feature in the app, a comparison tool that allows you to evaluate hotel prices and amenities. By staying updated on your preferred hotels, you’re more likely to seize opportunities for a spontaneous getaway.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate based on various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so having some flexibility with your travel dates could help you find a more affordable stay at the Bastide hotel. If you're seeking something distinctive, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could offer a more favourable rate.
Consider your location: Choosing accommodation close to key attractions or city centres may offer convenience, but it often comes with a higher price tag. For more affordable options, you might consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and ease of access to the sites you wish to visit. Independent hotels located a bit further out can often provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience, as they usually tend to be cheaper.
