"Excellent hotel. Good position, just off the M4. Parking was very secure which is a bonus. The receptions were amazing, so friendly, welcoming and friendly as were the staff at breakfast.
Unusually we were charged extra for tea and coffee at breakfast which was not included in the price!! Ridiculous and they need to change this policy even if it includes increasing the price."
"Friendly staff, the room was large but very dark, it had dark wallpaper & curtains & there were only a couple of spot lights as you entered then a lit recess area above the bed & one bedside lamp which wasn’t ideal. The bed was comfortable & the bathroom had a huge jacuzzi bath, with nice towels provided.
We did go for breakfast, it’s self service, plenty to choose from, tho scrambled is the only egg option, good for the price."
"Did not like that our room on the third floor after getting off the lift required humping bags down two albeit short flights of stairs.
Liked that there were lots of towels and that they let us drop our luggage until check in and again after noon check out (very civilized)
It's a great location right next to Cardiff Central station so getting here and then getting to the airport was simple"
"Lovely staff, sits in a quiet area of the city so very little outside noise, it's not far away from the M4 so it makes an ideal base camp if you're exploring areas outside of Swansea."
"The family room was good, although the sofa bed is a little narrow for two teenagers. We had two nights in another budget chain prior to arriving at the Novotel, where they provide two single fold-up beds which we found to be a much better arrangement amd more comfortable for the children.
The room was clean. The pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna are excellent and were very welcome.
The food in the restaurant was good, only the service being a little slow let it down.
We thought the hotel parking at £24 for the day was expensive, until looking at the local multi-story alternatives that were £31 a day?! There are a few spaces on the road outside that are free between 18:00-08:00 that you can take advantage of.
We would definitely stay there again."
"Bernadette at the reception was very helpful and professional. Even the staff in the carpark as well as the male staff doing the maintenance at the lift lobby were very friendly. The bathroom was sparkling clean, no complaints at all."

Consider your location: Staying in the heart of major cities like Bridgend can certainly offer unparalleled convenience, but it often comes with a heftier price tag. Accommodations in city centres are typically more expensive, reflecting their proximity to local attractions and amenities. In contrast, smaller towns and rural areas are more likely to be affordable, providing a more budget-friendly experience. If you're looking to save on accommodation, you might consider hotels located just outside the city centre; however, this may necessitate a bit more travel to reach key sights. Alternatively, nearby cities often boast a wealth of attractions while still offering lower prices, allowing you to enjoy the best of both worlds without straining your wallet.
