This B&B was the most expensive stay we had during our road trip, by far. We were greeted by the man of the house who from the outset had an air of Basil Fawlty. I will refer to him as Basil. We recently stayed in the Adagio recently and highly recommend this place! The apartment was fully equipped and very spacious. Really nice lounge area to relax in after a busy day sightseeing, it really felt like ‘home from home’. The staff were helpful and pleasant - and sold essentials at the reception area. What an amazing hotel this place is, probably one of the best places I've stayed in, cannot fault it! The rooms are amazing, we were in an apartment room which had a kitchen with oven, dishwasher and washing machine! Well worth the travelling to get to from Amsterdam central, so easy, two trams, stop just across the road from the hotel, takes about 30 mins. Uber takes about 20 mins if the traffics good. All this and the staff so friendly, they're a credit to the hotel!

Spacious room and clean. I spent 4 nights in Amsterdam and the hotel is with great location so that I can drive to P+R within 15mins . Staff is helpful and breakfast is good. Full marks for the hotel.

Since central accommodation is very expensive, this hotel is a good alternative, a 25 minutes with the metro, and near to business buildings, thus safe area. Good value for money compared with other accommodations, has a kitchenette

The service , the whole experience from checking in was exceptional. The staff were wonderful ,kind and caring. Our rooms were immaculate, the breakfast was AMAZING! Location was also perfect . One bus ride to the centre within a minutes walk. 2 bus rides from the airport. Great stay

Excellent location for a concert at the Johan Cruyff arena. Very clean, great views from the room. Easy to travel between the airport, the city and the hotel via trains or trams. Would definitely recommend.

Second year in a row staying at Jan Luyken with my wife. We love it, over ten years coming to Amsterdam and we now know for sure where we are staying every time.

Really friendly, simple but clean and comfortable room. 2 suggestions: would have liked tea/coffee making stuff in the room and the room had only one bin in the bathroom

Close to the Central Station so a handy location for the eurostar. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Great base if your happy to walk (or cycle) to the main attractions. I was on the 2nd floor on the corner and outside noise was not issue. At points you can hear the trams rumbling but I didn't find it intrusive. They have a fun little bar that does great cocktails!
