Charming old village house, stylishly refurbished with a lovely mix of quality new bathrooms and beds and antique furnishings, set in lush, rural rolling countryside with far reaching views. Discrete service, and very accommodating when we had a day of illness and needed to stay in the room all day. Generous fresh breakfast of pastries and cheeses every day.

Such lovely welcoming staff when we arrived late in the evening - extra attentive to our children which was really appreciated! My husband made use of the gym down the road which was perfect for what he needed. Thankyou for a lovely stay!

What an amazing place. An oasis of calm, so peaceful and quiet. Room 2 is a beautiful spacious room with excellent AC and the most comfortable bed. Lovely view out over the pool. The whole hotel is tasteful decorated to suit the building style. Breakfast was so delicious, fresh fruit salad daily. Last but not least the wonderful hostess Emilie. So kind and went out of her way to help in any way she could. Welcomed us each morning with a beautiful smile. Thank you

This hotel oozes with unique character and style, is in the heart of the town and the manager is amongst the most helpful I have ever come across. We loved the atrium-style lobby (the central photo for the hotel) the bar stools made to look like champagne cork enclosures and the bedrooms with their unique themes, big comfortable bed and very cool bathrooms. Utterly magical slice of heaven created by Patrick and Christophe who were the most charming and kind hosts. Our room was large and beautifully appointed and the whole villa is stunning and enchantingly restored and decorated. Can’t recommend highly enough we will be back. Without doubt one of the best places I have stayed. Great host who could not do enough to help. Our room was beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable with lovely toiletries. The breakfast was amazing and the view from the terrace with a nice glass of wine incomparable!

We'd definitely recommend The Squirrel's Nest. A lovely house and owners. Our room was great, spacious en suite bathroom, air conditioning which with temperatures of 40 degrees outside (canicule), was really appreciated, tea and coffee making facilities on the landing. An easy walk into Gaillac for dinner (bring a torch) and not far from routes to Albi and Toulouse. We have nothing but positive things to say about this lovely little hotel. Best hotel experience in a while!
