The hotel is set in a rural area although it’s on a main route through the area. There is a beautiful tranquil lake at the rear of the hotel where you can have a quiet, easy peaceful walk and spot the abundant fish and admire the various tall trees. There are small beaches too.
The hotel rooms were really good with new fixtures and fittings. I couldn’t fault the rooms. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. Similarly the food and service were great. Despite having a bus full of tourists...

The view of the mountains was great from our room, but there was nothing not to like. Rooms were really clean. The receptionist was amazing, it was a busy weekend when we stayed with a race on in Mont Dore (which we hadn’t realised) and she rang three restaurants to get us a reservation. She was amazing! Breakfast was great too. Fabulous, thank you.

The check-in staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean, the bed comfortable, plenty of storage space and there was a desk with a chair - useful for working. The hotel is at the eastern end of the main street so it is a stroll to the shops and restaurants - of which there are many.
Altogether a good place to stay when visiting La Bourboule.
