The staff on reception (sorry we didnt get their names but especially the team working 8th October) were really helpful. After an injury out walking that needed medical help they got us to the nearest medical clinic and then pharmacy. The support was really appreciated. Otherwise, the hotel itself was also worth the stay. It is brilliantly situated and the rooms were clean and quiet. Will stay here the next time we visit Bordeaux.

Great hotel with in walking distance to Bordeaux's attractions, restaurants & bars.

Plenty of parking, the staff were soo lovely, very friendly and helpful, one love lady printed off a list of recommended places for dinner and was extremely helpful. Our room was spotless and the beds very comfortable, everything was to our expectations and more!

This is our second time staying here, can't be happier. Our 2nd time is just as good as the first time if it's not better. The room is perfectly decorated, small but charming. All-round lovely hotel in great location, but the real stand-out thing was the helpfulness of the staff. I’d been hoping to charge my EV overnight but arrived to find the car park full and charging spaces taken. They went above and beyond to help - advised me where to park overnight and arranged free late checkout and charging for me the next morning so we could easily continue our journey. Lovely cosy hotel full of character where we felt very welcome. Excellent generous breakfast, lovely staff. We enjoyed having breakfast and an afternoon drink in the pretty quiet courtyard. We recommend it very highly. Very clean and well appointed bedrooms with lovely touches (we loved the slippers!).

Clean, modern apartments behind a historic facade in the st michel university district in short walking distance of main street with all amenities you need and tram stops. Beautiful old building in the heart of old bordeaux. Large, comfortable room. Walking distance to all of the old town and riverfront. I will stay here again.

What a beautiful place! Located next to the jardin publice in central Bordeaux this is real find. The staff were very helpful as we arrived on a late flight after our wedding. They communicated well by email and phone to ensure our self check in. The room was exquisite, as well as the rest of the hotel and the breakfast the next morning a perfect French selection. As a lone ,older, female traveler I must say that the staff could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and considering that I spoke very little French. They could not have been more helpful. The room was spacious, very clean , comfortable and extremely quiet. The breakfast facilities were adequate and there was plenty of variety. Again the staff were very attentive and friendly. I can recommend Hotel Vatel and would not hesitate to stay there again.
